View Full Version : M98c inconsistent fire
I have an M98c that is not firing correctly. When I fire it the first shot will be accurate or the paint with break, then the second the ball will not go as far as if the velocity were down, and the last shot the gun completely un-cocks itself and I have to re-cock and try again. I have no idea how to fix it. I was curious if anyone has had the same problem or knows how to correct it?

make sure your gun is oiled up and clean, you dont want any dirt or anything in your gun, im kinda tired right now so i cant think of anything else =P
I clean it after every use, the thing is like a wistle. Plus its well oiled.

yah the only thing i can think of is it's not oiled or it's dirty or both, have you actually taken it apart and checked it, if you cleaned it last time you played, you could have broken a ball in there or got dirt or something
I think it might have to do with the CO2 feed system to the gun, the sear, the sear spring, and or the vavle that the bolt hits...Hell i dont know I think ill just have to take it into the shop tommorow.
Oh , and the CO2 is full. lol
Found the problem....Its a cracked compression valve, you all know the black peice that the bolt hits to relaease CO2, well thats cracked. Well case closed eh.

I dont mean to be a smart *** but for future referance,
sear and sear spring have nothing to do with the gas feed, they simply release the hammer when you pull the trigger
compression valve (im guessing you mean the valve inside the "black piece") is the CVX valve, stock on all tippmanns
the "black piece" is known as the power tube. It house the valve.
