I tried using the new tank i bought today (3-A 68ci 4500psi) and at the chrony, it was like: 345, 280, 243, 160, 145, and then my gun un-cocked. It kept on doing this. I had to use CO2 (which isn't bad btw) and my freind used my tank on his Outkast. Why wouldn't hpa/nitro work? Do I need a regulator to make it work?

Do you have an expansion chamber. They unregulate the regulated air. It also could be because you have a low pressure tank on a high pressure gun.

or u could have a piece of sh** tank, 3a tanks arent that great. some work fine but many of there products are defective and overpriced. wait, nvm it worked on teh outkast nvm. my bad. yea, it might have been lp and a regulator would help u alot in this situation.

yea it worked wonders on his outkast. i think it's just because my tippy wasn't ready for it or sumthing like that lol. i think a reg may have worked, but im not getting one anymtime soon.

Do you have a Dead on pro seal? 3 posts or something below this post everyone that has a pro seal it does the same thing for them. It goes hot then goes normal then fires back up. Other then that you did get a HP tank right?

LOL, that was my friend posting on my account. Anyway, with a tippy should HPA work fine without an X-chamber or regulator? Or will it have effects like that all the time?

No HPA should run the same if not better without the X-chamber . A second reg is not needed but if you want to you can get one.
HPA runs fine on my Tippmann. I don't have a reg or anything.

It should work fine. As I already said a second reg is not needed but if you want to add it you can. I would personally not add a reg a HP tank takes care of itself.

what paint were you using? panit can also affect the velocity.

try adjusting your velocity and check to see if it's a low pressure nitro, if so, you're gonna need a low pressure set up for it to work, that's probably what it is
