Mag or Cocker? I NEED OPINIONS

A buddy of mine is thinking about getting a new gun, moving up from his Tippman 98. He is trying to decide between a TKO Powerfeed mag with a Smart Parts Progessive on it, or a Stock 2002/2001 WGP autococker. What are your opinions?

2002 vert feed, he can improve upon it as he sees fit, and it has much better resale.

Tell your friend to shoot a mag, then shoot a cocker, and whichever one he likes, buy.

IMO, I would buy the cocker. You can do more with them, they are more consistant, more accurate, look better, and are an all-around great gun.

yup its personal preference and he should shoot both before he decides. definately get the vert feed if he goes cocker. i would go cocker, i just like them more, IMO they are more accurate, more upgradeable and just cooler (i like the mechanics)

Well, i'd suggest a mag. but if you like to get really frustrated and mad buy the cocker!

All you auto mag owners aren't helping anyone when if you talk crap about cockers. They don't break that often, and if they do, it's incombatible upgrades, or a user error. My mag almost never worked, so stop all this horse hockey. Yeah, cocker suck, thats why they're the 2nd most used tourney gun out there :rolleyes: Play nice.

Grow up your self... every one is entitled to their opinion... I say shoot them both.. I have use both and like the mag better, I think they look better, and because they have less useful upgrades I like them more then cockers.

Sorry guys, i was angry at the time i posted my orginal reply, my gun is in the mail and being held up for some reason. Personally i like mags better but cockers have their advantages.

I was refering to the "dude cockers suck and always break and they suck" posts, not posts that have some meaning, like yours, you actually seem to discuss it, not blow it off to a childish level.

I ment that they have less amounts of upgrades that really are needed to boost performance... You really buy exactly what you want when you get a mag, Most people don't really look to buy a mag with the intent to upgrade the bolt, vavle etc...
