I have thought up some moves, and other general strategis that turned out pretty good, and I could use some more moves (like a flank), especially ones that take care of one person, because my friend is awesome and always causes me problems when we play against each other. All moves are welcome, 'cause I have an open mind. I'm willing to trade ideas and tell you what ones have worked for me and ones that have gotten me and my teammates. Again anything related is welcome.

I used to think that reading tactics/stratagies didn't work, but then I tryed some from The Compete Guide to Paintball (go buy that book) and put the smack down. So the one that has worked best for me is the "fake push" (look at my name). You'll need at least a half brained 4-5 man team for this one and that can be hard to find in my neck of the booneis (Ukiah, CA).
A. you send out about 40% of your team to fake push up flank while the rest (real flankers) give out cover fire (waste ton of paint=looks real=B. will work).
B. have the other 60% cut in half and send 30% (fast guys) run or crawl if terrain permits like hell up the other flank while giant comotion goes on the the fake flank.
TIP: it doesn't really matter if the fake flankers get tagged
I probly post some more complex ones latter but if any of you know where to find/have info on how to make a paintball club at a high chool post it

the biggest key if you are playing in the woods, is to be silent. When you move, stay low also. But to be silent, you need to work on it. Try to stick your foot under any sticks and brush that will make noise. what I mean is when you take a step, force your foot beneath the sticks. Move slow, and watch where you step. Correct me if I'm wrong, but most of the time you hear your opponent before you see them, right? hope it helped

A good move is what i like 2 call double flanking and the round bout, I play in this valley it has a pretty wide bottom and then we play up the sides to, but u can do this on any field:
A. if u have a good 5 or six man team you have one or two men in the center shootin alot of cover fire then on each side have two men go real wideand come straight in like a pinch. U can really get them if u get this move perfected in woods.
B. If u are playing a one on one the best thing is two real quickly try to circle around on ther flank if u do it real fast then u u can pin then in real fast practice practice practice makes perfect.

Thanks but I've already heard of these moves and tried most of them, some of them work real well but we usually play with two teams of either three or four each so I really can't use hardly any of these moves without losing the game or ending seperated with my teammates. The fake push has worked well along with the flank but I don't have enough teammates to pull a double flank.

Do any of u have any tactics for 2 man teams who move together?

Yeah, one moves ahead, and finds good cover, looks around, signals it's clear, and the other goes ahead. Repeat.

U have anything better than that because we are always versing this kid who just bought a BushMAster 2000
ANd he always creams us in the open because were we play it doesnt have alot of cover...

Yeah, don't be out in the open. Make the most of your cover, and before you pop out, instead of swinging your gun around, and then aiming, aim before you get out from behind your cover, and kinda move your whole body out. Hard to explain, but it works.

Never NEVER attack directly straight foward into your enemy.(cept for bunkering in speedball)Gennarally flanking moves r the best. Also always take the least expected route possible to get to your enemy (or the flag) or use the hop scotch strategy.

i have 2 or 3 in the fave trick thread but i think this best suits the question you want another one works if you are using hilly terrain, heres what you do, get your back to the top of the hill and have the other guy down the hill a bit, make sure he sees you, now run over the top of the hill and over until he can't see you any more then cut across at 90º right or left, when the other guy comes running up the hill to get a shot on you shoot him in the side (i learned this when my bro did it to me)
if you don't have a hill you can use a partner, have person A lay low for a bit while person B does his best 2 fight off the opposition, try to anticipate their positions when they follow this guy, get right by where you think they'll go, now have person B run past where you are (but hidden) and go 'til the next bunker, when the opposition move to the bunker next to where you're hidden he'll be concentrating on person B who seems to be on the run. when he's not expecting it, fire asfast as you can, this way not only will you take him out but he'll probly jump 10 feet in the air when he hears shots being fired from 10 feet away and the only other person he's thinking about is in his sights 30 feet up the field perched behind a tree

This is more of a trick than a tactic but it works pretty well. when your playing, and you want the enemy to rush you, turn your gun upside-down and fire a few shots. This will make your enemy think that you are out of paint. They will most likely rush you to get an easy kill. Also, I like to curse a bit, loud enough so they can hear me, just to make a more convincing show. Try yelling to a teammate for paint too, but tell them that your gonna bluff before the game starts or they might get mad. Problem is it only works against more experienced players since the newbies can't tell the difference in sound. But, you could just do the yelling part by itself, and most newbies will fall for it.

I have a tactic which is more of a trick. It requires one silent trigger happy person with a loud trigger happy person. For this to work, you both go to the same bunker, and the loud one pretty much exposes himself to everyone. He just pretty much harrasses a pushing group. In the mean time, the silent one does nothing, but this comes in handy, once the loud one gets lit up, the silent one waits for the team thats coming. They'll think no one is in that bunker, so they try to move in there. But this is when the silent guy does his work. The person should wait for to come close and just wail on them. Make sure when you start shooting, that they have no where to run. I have mastered this skill and have eliminated at least half of everybody I've shot. It takes a while to get good at.

i like to divid are 6 man team in to 3-2man operations. the least skilled go up the middle and 2 go on the left and 2 go on the right. works pretty good. since most teams i play gainst stick together.

Another good tactic is to pummel an opposing team member's bunker with paint as you approach it or move anywhere so they don't peek out. That way you can either change to another bunker without them knowing, or approach their bunker and bunker them.

If your not a sniper i would pin them behind a tree. Then when they just go back behind the tree from snap-shooting charge and while your running keep your gun up just in case he pops out. 90% of the time they won't pop out and you will be able to bunker them. When you shoot them take the tree they were using. I either do that or flank them. Both work very good. Especially if you have a trigger happy person on you team.
