paintball! Hobby or Sport??

i want to know your opinion on whether paintball is a hobby or sport. me, i think its a sport, its televised, they have different levels, just like baseball and basketball. but whats your opinion??

im goin with you taco's its a sport, different levels. Huntings considered a sport, so why can't paintball? I mean huntings a hobby and a sport and if your into it then its a sport... just like paintball. So im gonna have to say sport... or lifestyle ;)

You have to get good at first. Which means like any sport you have to practice and waste a lot of money to get proficient in it.

It depends on the player. I used to play a lot of speedball and turny ball when I was in my early to mid twenties. Now (32) I generally focus on paintball as a relaxation and release from the stress of the work week. For me paintball started out a hobby, moved to a sport as I played more turnies, then moved back to a hobby as I looked for something to help me release work stress.

paintball is my life. i cant get to sleep at night cu i keep thinking of paintball, every penny i get goes toward paintballing, so i am always broke and have to bum money off of friends. i talk about paintball so much in my school that kids acualy start to take interest into the SPORT.

its true, one time before a tourney the next day, i went to bed at 12....kept thinkin bout paintballin and couldnt sleep until 4am.....then i only got 3 hours of sleep for the tourney... :|

For me it's something like this.

I can't sleep at night cause I think about it I have to think about something else that interest me to go to sleep.

All my money goes toward paintball. I bum money off my dad then work it off.

I talk about paintball so much at school people don't want to hang out with me till I shut up.

look at the new russian legion in the EXL...they do full physical workouts nearly every day of the week...hell, out of their 5-6 day-a-week training program, they only actually play paintball twice...

The legion is insanely good, so much training.
They're fully sponsored by some rich guy and they are getting pay cheques to play instead of just playing for free.
