Finally decided to get a new barrel, so which one?

i was pretty much stuck between the cp 2 piece and the freak(w/one ss insert), and the freak is winning by 5 votes so i guess i will go with the freak unless sum1 gives me a good reason to go for the cp

if you don't want a kit, try an ultralight, but make sure it works first, because, for some reason 3/5 barrels dye makes for the impulse don't even screw in... the ultralight is pretty much the best non barrel kit you can get. you might just want to consider just buying an AA, they work great for the money, and it doesn't sound like you really need anything more. a cp 2 piece does work really well too, here you go for the best (best to not the best) of barrel I think you should get:

1 Ultralight
2 CP 2 Piece
3 AA

with only one incert, the freak isn't anything special, meaning it is just about as good as an AA

i guess ill just get a cp 2 piece.
reasons:
1. 3/5 uls don't fit well
2. uls are bore .688 and all paint i use is .689+
3. i would wanna have aleast 2 incerts (689 & 693), ul backs cost a fortune
4. CP=cheap=more $$$ towards other ups

price isnt really a big problem thats y i was leaning towards the freak with like 2 incerts, and also sum ppl say that it isnt a big step up from a progressive....but when tpd says sumtin is nice, it nice:P

ok, but to wrap this thread up, i jus wanted to ask y u said in another thread that the cp one piece isnt a big step up from a progressive, when the 1 and 2 piece are pretty much the same

well, the cp two peice is a higher quality, and the rear bore to front bore changes more, so you get a better barrel. it is true though that a cp 1 piece is not a big step up from a progressive though.

ok, since we are on the subject of barrels do u think i should get 2 fronts(10 and 14 in)? i play mostly mid and sumtimes front, so which one would better or should i just get both?

i would just buy a 14" or a 12", i just own 12"s and i play back and mid and it works out fine for me.

4". some say the 14" is more accurate, i wouldn't say, but if you play supa-air ball or xball a longer barrel is nice to help get around those squishy bunckers.

i just saw the mcdev matchstick kit for 100 bux new, and in the barrel forum ppl say that its made by cp for them and that its the same thing. any1 know if this is true, cuz 2 fronts, and 3 backs for 100 bux is a great deal if its as good as the cp 2 piece

yeh, according to you. the stiffi is much more delicate than any other barrel out there, and while it does perform very very well, they are expensive and really work just as well as an ultralight.

yes, imo, it is the most/best cost effective barrel out there other than the emipre kits; but unlike the empire kits, the matchstick barrel kit doesn't suck, it performs very very well for how much it costs, it would be a great choice for a barrel kit!

i like to take my barrel off and just play without one it makes the gun a lot shorter.
