they do have felt paintballs that stick to clothes and are painless, they're made by viewloader i think. they also have gook guns that shot like 30 feet and theres a thread awhile back bout thoose.

I know my Wal Mart carries paintball guns well not real ones but they shoot up to 70 feet are painless and come out of clothes with a simple rinse of water. Check you Wal Mart to see if they have .

Still, those are awesome. Really, I was surprised how well they were sticking to the target considering the velocity.

The thing is if your going to let a really young kid play you have to make sure that he can take the hit without crying. You also have to make sure the kid can follow all the safety rules ext.

NRG paintball guns. They wipe right off clothes. They used to have a comercial. Do a search on NRG in like froogle. These are made for backyard play, and I think are spring loaded to shoot.

My 5 year old nephew wanted to paintball. When I took him out to a field to show him how it shot (it was set at 250 fps) he didn't want to paintball anymore. All I did was shoot it into the ground next to him and he freaked out. That stopped him asking to play paintball every 5 minutes of the day. I asked him if he wanted to get behind a bunker so we could just shoot the back of it so he would know what it was like to be in a firefight. He didn't want to. So we loaded him back into my jeep and we left.

At my field they won't let you play unless you're at least 10, and then if you freak out then they take you to a psychiatrist, and leave you there.

I never used nerf, it was all about those guns that shot rings. Wow that was fun, and same here I always needed more rings. I used to think that those guns actually hurt back then when shot up close, now it feels good compared to a paintball.

They got a new ring thing that shoots a 12" diameter ring made of foam over 100mph It cost like $15 a ring and the run cost like 40 dollars. I don't have the time to go buy one though.

DO NOT LET "LITTLE KIDS" PLAY PAINTBALL!!!!
We have a medic at work who is also a vet tech. She has worked on dogs up to 90lbs who have been shot with paintball guns. The force of a paintball on such a small creature can cause collapsed lung(life threatening), bruised lung, and bruising of the liver. All of which need a trip to the E.R. Kids of the same weight are not as tough as dogs.

This is one reason why the paintball field's insurance company forbids people under 9. Another reason is too many kids don't always follow the simple safety rules (there are exceptions)

Play Laser Tag, water gun "soaker tag", Nerf gun tag, etc. to keep your kids interest until they are old enough. Let them target shoot with a paintball gun at a soda pop can.

Don't let them play until you are confident your child can physically and emotionally take the trauma.

We don't need one hurt child or the bad press.

The reason that dogs get hurt so bad is that a holes shoot them at excess of 300fps.

i understand that its still erly to play real paintball with her yet . i just whant somthing simallar so she can target practice and feel included with her dad and bros.target practice on cans is a good idea. she wont be physically able to take a hit for long time but just trying to keep her interested.safty is always first!!!!!:)

If you were a cool dad, you'd let her target practice on you. Plus, the extra practice could be good for you. :P

If you were a smart dad, you'd let her target practice on your sons while you went and played golf. :boat:

well thats not a bad idea but i thinck her mom whants her to start with like a sponge paint gun. but i like the idea i could get some good exercise runing bunker to bunker and im sure it would be a rush. not being able to shoot back:jester:

please don't let her play for a while. or take her in the backyard and shoot like three at her, seriously. if she is that committed then she will take it. otherwise, i would hate to be the dad that let her newly bruised and crying daughter play paintball. i would also hate to be the person that bunkered her and made her cry. always give them the pain test before they head out. thats what i told my sister and she backed out quick (she is 12 and im 15).
