I'm looking into getting one, and twanted all of your opinions on which was the best. Money is not an option as I just made $400 (woohoo!) I just want your opinion on which would be the better one to get. I don't want to hear from people saying 'Sights are crappy, don't get one.' I'm getting one anyone, so just tell me which is better.

actually, ive seen a marker, a friends pump actually, you put the dot on your target, and its going to hit almost directly on the dot.

depends on range. you can go into a forest preserve pick a tree shoot, figure out the drop and measure the distance to the tree.
if i was getting a red dot id get the 42 mm tasco at opsgear.
(http://www.store.yahoo.com/opsgear/42tareddotta.html). Its big so you can see through it with a mask on. And adjustable. If your going for looks and stuffo the 30mm dot sight looks perty. (http://www.store.yahoo.com/opsgear/dotsiwiwera.html).

well you got 400bucks
If you want a really nice sturdy sight get the Adco E-dot very nice from what i have herd. I use the Imp It works fine for me Its relatively basic a red dot with horizontal and vertical fine tuneing, I like it its cheap sturdy and leaves you plenty of money for other upgrades plus it looks cool. Its just a matter of how much you want to invest in the sight, but I definately reccomend the IMP, Sureshot, or the E-dot.
Just make sure you got a nice barrel to go along with ur sight

I'm having excellent luck with my BSA 30mm red dot sight. It is bright and adjustable for up/down, left/right. It takes some caliberation to get the thing to shoot at a particular distance, but once you have it set, its dead-on (an accurate barrel would help here :D). Plus, you can't beat the price at 30 bucks from sportsmansguide.com.
There are some drawbacks to this (and any other sight). If it is a bright day, good luck finding the dot. Also, if mounted on the gun along with the stock feed, the feed will block about 10-20% of the red dot's field of view. I would suggest a LAPCO direct feed and an elbow. This offsets your hopper more so there is no interference.
I would also suggest not getting a stock with a red dot, at least not without a raised sight rail. Your mask blocks a clear view of the red dot sight when a stock is used, because you can't get close enough to the stock to look into the sight. If you're hell-bent on this setup, I've had moderately successfull results with the following equipment (e.g. not the most comfortable firing position, but it works):
-Lapco rasied sight rail
-BSA 30mm red dot sight
-Ben Tippmann Folding stock
And since you have 400 clams burning a hole in your pocket, get yourself a great barrel kit like the SP Freak or LAPCO snapshot while you're at it...A good red dot sight won't be worth a rip without some accuracy.
Hope this helped, I'd like others to learn from my mistakes :P

i bought the BSA Optics 30mm Red Dot Scope, from http://www.sportsmansguide.com/browse/browse.asp?s=169&b=&z=&c=73&a=&p=s&bt=&pg=2
it looks totally sweet on my marker (A-5 with a flatline and Stock), i cant really use it though because i have a Stock on the back of my gun, so when my mask is on, i cant look through it. It does work fairly well when shooting without my mask on. Even though i dont use it, it looks SWEET, tottally tactical.... AND its only 30 BUX!!!! Definetely GET IT.

I had to file the front rail mount rod thing on my bsa to get it to aim low enough to work. Its dead on now tho.

I would get the adco or BSA.
Since you have $400, get an HPA tank. They are very handy to have.

And maybe a new barrel and double trigger if not already upgraded on your gun.

the only time you really use a site is when somebody doesnt see u and is within range but u see im..... It would probably come in handy when u use like a ghillie or something, but when you are in a firefight close up, you will not use the red dot.

i beg to differ, at range the sight is close to useless for the one shot one elim, philosophy, its basily useless for "sniping" , but at close range it will work, and will be good for pin point snap shooting. thats my opinion.
edit: get a cheap one, because eventually you will get tired of it and throw it away.
