I too have often wondered this. I think there are a couple of questions that you've gotta have answers to before you even start though. Where does my marker make noise from? Are there other mods I can do, other than a silencer to quiet down my gun (different barrel?) I would do some experiments around home made silencers too, Try making stuff outta paper towel rolls or old soup or frozen juice cans, using steel wool, rags, or other absorbing materials. I've played with filter cartridges from pump outta the lab I work in. Let us know what and how you do, and what the final results are.

Just a bit of warning SILENCERS OF ANY TYPE EVEN ON PAINTBALL GUNS ARE ILLEAGLE. Trust me on this i have extensive knowledge of us gun laws and making or owning such a device is a class 3 firearms violation. This is why you don't see them around anymore. I had one myself back in the old days and destoryed it. The last thing paintball needs is the press that would result from someone recieving a felony conviction for firearms violations. STAY AWAY FROM SILENCERS!!!!
