I have a new 8000 series Impulse with vertical reg.
When I go to shoot the frist ball it seems to jam the bolt because it will not allow the bolt to cycle.

My thought is have a Ricochet 2K loader I am thinking this is putting to much force on the balls which is jaming the gun. After the frist shot it works fine I haven't treid this Yet but what if try not truning on the loader till after a few shots have been fired.

Has anyone came across this problem?

I seem to break balls about 1 out of every 50 shots seems to be about what i am running intosomtime not even that many.

I just got this gun last week and have shot about 1000 balls through it The gun shoots smooth then its seems to sick during the cycle. this is when the balls are breaking. The bolt is what seems to be sticking but not sure. I am still trying to get to know the gun. Plenty of care too.I have it clean, it regrease it as in manual but not still have ball breakage

Not what I expected with this gun from reading the Forums

I had the same type problem with my Automag is it ME?

Could the ball detents cause some of this?
The balls are big balls and are about two months old?
My sons tiippmann shoots all days with the same balls not breaks
why do the higher price guns break more balls
because of the rate if fire.

Love the gun but hate breaking balls can't enjoy the fun when your cleaning your Gun!!!!!

First off, Welcome to the wonderful world of the Impulse Forum Jeff. And congrats on getting yourself an Imp. You said it's a 8000 series? Where did you get it from? I ask cause some shops don't set the markers up, they just take your money and hand you the box.
There are a few startup tricks (that I do) which might not be covered in the Faq's. First is to totally clean and relube your marker, However it sounds as if you've already done that. Have you double check your input psi and re-adjust your dwell using a chrono? Incorrect pressure can and will cause your marker to act up. Or has anyone played with the ROF settings?
Now you mentioned paint being old. Have you checked the barrel to paint making sure it's a good match? And that's a double detent isn't it? Have you taken them out and cleaned them throughly after your breaks?
Bro, I'm sorry to hit ya with so many questions. However I'd like to see ya enjoy as much as the rest of us do! And believe me these markers will bring you that!

Thanks for the response its good to know there is support out there.

Well yes I checked the paint, they slid down the barrel fine.

I did not take out the detents and clean them yes there are two

No one has played with anything Yet!!

I don't have a chrono so I was not able to set the dwell book siad it should be close from factory so i though i would start without trying this

I purchase the gun new from FOM and discussed the problems with him today' He told that there is somthing going on with the gun so i took it back to him they are going through it. I aslo am getting some upgrades tigger and others I will report on the out come.

Like I said Can't have any fun when your cleaning your gun!!
