above your post is the ultimate sticky, it has directions on how to clean your maxflo. Also if you look in your owners manual I belive it outlines the procedure there as well.
If you don't have the manual go to www.smartparts.com and you click on impulse, walla!

mine isn't the manual, it's wolfy's guide.
how often do u lube the maxi, cause ive had my impy about one year, and ive had no problems with it. it has a consistancy of about +/- 5 at the most. it works great. but ive never seen a good manual for cleaning it untill i saw TPD's guide. major props to u TPD. i figure ill probably have to lube it soon, but is there a sertain shot count?

well, you should be fine, the way i used to tell is that when ever my maxflo was giving me problem, i'd lube it then and there-but of course, i would always lube it before tournies...

It's a good rule of thumb to be on schedule with your maxi's cleaning. The max-flo aside from being one of the more consistent regulators on the market is also one of the more work intensive regs too. You have to maintain it so it stays consistent, the more you love your max flo, the more it will love you. :hippie:
i was a little paranoid that i wasnt putting the parts together properly, but im 95 percent sure i did ir right. yeah i kinda figure if it aint broke dont fix it, but mabe thats a bad filosophy with the maxi. yeah i was way over my checkup, i guess my baby loves me and doesnt wanna get sick. one thing, i couldnt get that little silver part with the o-ring in the middle apart. (sry im bad with part names). i lubed it the best i could. normally if im having a problem, i put the dow in my asa, gass it up, fire it a bit, and then take apart my solinoid to clean the excess grease out. is this not good to do? and another question, i have the WAS baord. because it gives your solinoid more voltage, with your solinoid be less sensitive to too much grease in it? wouldnt it just over power the grease? and because u have air going through the solinoid, eventually wouldnt the grease work its way out if it ever was over greased?
