what is funny? last time i checked this site all that is on here is reviews from members that are for the most part based and un detailed.
has something changed in the past 3 years?

your right for the most part, but most of the time there are some very detailed ones if you look.

from what i understand, mods filter the reviews for inappropriate & useless entries. so reviews that remain posted are, in fact, unbiased & detailed.

I dont have a lot of time on my hands to read 10 reviews and get very little out of it. Im looking for reviews that are like the old pbstar reviews, very helpful reviews. I'll take a closer look a this site, maybe it has changed.
thanks

One thing hasn't changed about this site, all of the worhtless posts and members. I am aware google exists. Did i ask for a search engine? no I asked if anyone knows of a good paintball review site.

I can pretty much guarentee you that you won't find a site with the selection of reviews that this one has.
Oh, and thanks for calling yourself worthless.
By the way, it's "legit."

Lol, i was just about to point that out.
Seriously, your not going to find many other sites with the reviews like this one has. They may be biased, but they give you an idea. If you dont want to sit here and read reviews, why dont you just go to your field and test out all the guns there yourself?

Google isn't only a search engine.

Try out this site (http://www.pbreview.com). It's got thousands of good reviews.

What kind of person comes to a paintball review site and asks to be recommened to another review site only after insulting the one he's posting in?
You should be slapped.

Read some reviews. I know that most of them suck but there are actually a lot of good ones.
And when someone owns a gun they are usually biased to vote for it.
It would help to know what kind of gun (mech, electro, brand, etc) you're interested in and how much money you're planning to spend so we can help you narrow down your choices.

haha, what a funny post. you can sort the reviews by longest. those are usually the best.

end yourself. before its too late.
It doesn't take that long to read the reviews as long as you have a 3rd grade education but looking back at this thread, that seems highly doubtful.
Ha thats payback for insulting us

Who was insulted first??? I didn't say everyone on here is worthless, just people who make no attempt to help a fellow board member out. If you have nothing to say that helps the person who posts, then why waste their time??? Why should I have to go through all of the worthless posts above???
I am looking for in depth, clear cut, non-based reviews done by individuals with years of paintball experience and access to a variety of markers.
I want to see reviews that show accuracy/consistency of a marker by placing it in a vice and recording the velocity of every shot to get a better idea of accuracy and consistency the marker is capable of achieving. I don’t want to read "the marker is accurate" that is too vague. I want every capability and expectation of the marker analyzed in detail. The type of reviews pbstar made years ago is what I want.
Rarely are the reviews on this site any where near that level.
Sorry to those I inadvertently offended.
My favorite and most helpful gun reviews to read are the reviews Paintball Games International (a magazine does) They always go way in depth, and are entertaining as well.

Well, isn't advertising for ANOTHER website that is like PBR against the rules in the first place? ESpecially as it may be concieived as free advertising?

Actually what you seem to want is people to spoon feed you information, instead of actually doing research on your own. The PBR reviews are set up so that the reader gets a wide variety of opinions about a certain product, not just one professionally written review, which in my opinion would be the most bias review, because it is only one person writing it. As for extremely in depth reviews, like with a vice and what not, Sid has done a few of those, but really, there are how many different guns in total on the paintball market, not counted discontinued or custom markers? To test each and every one of them under those conditions would be close to impossible, not to mention another paintball gun seems to come out every week.
If you just read the reviews, you can get a general feel for what a marker is like. No, most of the reviews will not tell you how many eighths of an inch a gun's grouping can get from fifty yards away with absolutely no wind on a clear summer day, but if you read enough reviews you can tell how a gun performs. It just takes some time and effort on your part, but if you're not willing to give that, then don't expect to be able to make an educated decision on the marker you buy.
And by the way, it's spelled "Legit", not "ligit".

I dont see how asking for a link to another site is against the rules.
Why do more work than you have to? yes it may be lazy, but if you think someone may have an answer to a question than why take the time to research it? If I cant find help in the paintball community then I will have to do research to find what I'm looking for, but I dont think I should be butcherd for asking fellow paintball players a question.

Ok, honestly if I thought there was a better site for reviews I would show you. But so far this is the best review site I've come across. Sorry

Your asking a question that requires no time or effort to be put in to, and also seeing how you are already on one of the best reviews sites on the internet there is no need to act like a smartass when you are a *******.

Well you came in here with an attitude hurling insults at people and this site in general, and now you expect everyone to help you? You weren't butchered for asking a question, don't try to make yourself out to be a victim here, you came across with an arrogant condescending attitude, and people responded accordingly. If you expect others to be helpful to you, perhaps you should learn to be courteous to them first.

magnus, thats interesting, I came in here to ask the paintball community if they know of any other sites where I can find in depth reviews. I didn't come in here with an attitude, I posted a simple question wanting a simple answer a "so and so site has great reviews why dont you check them out" or a "no I dont know of any other sites" or no response at allwould have been great, but no I have to look at a bunch of meaningless smart *** posts.
Then what realy puts a bright smile on my face is what the moderator posts. You put words into my mouth by saying that I came in here with an attitude. No I responded to a few meaningless posts. Like I said before I asked a simple question, without attitude or negativity and what did i get? a bunch of smart *** responses and a moderator who defends it. I was insulted first.
Magnus you made my day, Thanks.
