same reason they made the V3 iframe

actually the V3 iframe is very different from its predisesor. the new rip valve has one less o-ring which means you never need to clean it-not that you normally would have anyways. that's the difference, and there is, btw, no performance difference between the old and the new. it sure looks like you got the new one. besides, like i, and others said, it doesn't matter, they both work equally as well as one another; meaning better than any other valve.

so then i should assume that the old one needed 3 orings? cuz mine came with 3 orings and i can only find place for 2 and i have an extra

right, i guess you did get the old one. oh ****, i see, i looked at the pictures wrong my bad, still i really doesn't matter whether it is a old one or a new one.

yeh, i got mixed up with your pics-don't ask how. if you got an extra (very small) o-ring, then you got an old rip valve.

IwAnNaShOoTyOu

the extra o-ring is the same size as the other 2

oh, then i guess i didn't get the pictures back wards. i thought you meant that the extra o-ring you got wasn't the same size as the other two that go on the valve. just leave it at that, you got a new one. like i keep on saying, it doesn't matter if you got an old one or a new one, they work just as well as one another.

I emailed NDZ. Their website has the picture of the old one.
The picture on pbgear's website is the new one.

So you got the new one.

wait so what do you do with the extra o-ring 'cause I just got a rip valve and I also have an extra o-ring. I got a new valve that came with 3 o-rings that are the exact same size. I would assume it's just an extra?
