i am getting $1200 (selling my cocker) and have been pondering what gun to purchase, i was thinking a sonic bushy. what would be a good 47 cui nitro tank to get for under 285. it can be adjustibal or preset must be fiber wrapped and must be very light. ( i am small) thanks

I say nay, buy a regular bushy and put some macdev goodies on it, and get a decent tank.

He's right..

Although the Sonic Bushmaster is AMAZING, if you dont have a nice high end tank on it, it wont be able to run at its full potential.

Although a Sonic w/ a Conquest on it would run AWESOME, it mighit be better to get an ICE bushmaster with a nice high end tank, and put some upgrades on it.

I would rather have a WDP Stock Angel 2k1 with a Conquest than an Adrenaline with a Crossfire

Hmmm, how about using a Crossfire on a timmy w/no inline reg?

Hey those new LP Crossfires wouldn't run too bad w/o a reg :eyes: :|

I just don't much care for crossfires.

if you've got a vertical reg set up (or any secondary reg) there won't be a huge difference in performance.
the major performance increase is if you use an adjustable and gas through grip to lower OP. so it's pretty much a choice to have a reg on the tank or on the front of the gun.
i'd say save the money and wieght and go for the vert reg set-up, it'll make a difference if you're a small guy like yo' self :P

in 12 days i am selling my cocker. i will use the $1200 ( i got me a great deal 1200 bucks for a 2k1 cocker) I am gonna buy a silver 2002 Bushy ( if you ask you can get them with the JT two piece and blade trigger) and a conquest tank, with a zone 2 drop foward from KAPP. Prob a month till i get it.

I dont like crossfires either..seen too many break down. pmi's work good around here tho

sounds good dingo. although a sonic would be sweet :) youll be happy w/ the 2002, its tightlookin and wil perform nice w/ a ripper and jt barrel

Ive always looked at stuff as the main piece of gear should be the best. With turntables you want to have technics even if you have a crappy mixer. With guitar it would better to have a $1500 guitar and a little 10 watt amp rather than a full stack and a guitar from costco. Most people wouldnt get a top of the like DVD player and tivo or whatever that is if that meant they could only get a 8" black and white TV screen. Thats my opinion though, i guess.
You usually wont see some guys playing and say-"whoa, look at those guys tanks!" newbies usually dont say"I hate playing with the advanced guys cause they have such good tanks."
Tanks are just easier to change as opposed to guns. If you ever wanted to get a sonic you arent going to get anything near what you pay for a stock bushy and upgrades. Its like that with any gun. Thats just how I look at it.

If you have $1200, why cant you get a sonic and a nice screw in?

well for 1200 what i would do is get a stock 2k bushy and buy the sonic upgrade, it would be cheaper, well with the prices i have seen it would be cheaper

and make sure you get a conquest, its the only way to go as far as tanks are concerned

like i was going to get a sonic bushmaster
but instead i traded my cocker for a stock-ish bushy and im ordering the sonic lpr, valve, ball detent, and a conquest for it
i might get the frame later down the line, but this bushy already has a sweet *** trigger job

well i found the perfect gun. it is a used green fade timmi with a trigger job done by bob long him self. the trigger is like half a mouse click. i have hardcore paintball holding it forme. i walked into the store saw it and said i want that gun. with tax everything will cost me exactly 1200 bucks
