avenger gun for brother

hey.....i wanted to get an Avenger for my brothers birthday. Hes 10 and loves to play around with my gun so i though id buy one that he could use so i decided on the avenger....but i have some questions. What kinds of things can u upgrade it with (x-chambers, barrels ect...) I heard that spyder barrels fit on it too, is it worth it, is it easy to maintain ,is ther anything i should know about them before i buy it and so on....thanks

well, BE makes great guns for the entry level player, they are not tournament level markers but they are great guns to introduce players to the sport.

The barrel does take spyder threads. Adding an expansion chamber requires more modification rather then just buying one and putting it on, you will have to get new fittings, but it can be done, and isn't too hard to figure out.

I know a guy who has one, and his work good, and he uses a stock barrel too. And if he (your bro.) like to tinker also, he can make it even better.

I say buy it, and instead of messing with it for x-chamber, you could antisyphon. most places do it for $15

hey my bro has one of those and thier really a peice of junk. he had it for mabey 1 year and 7 months and its realy screwed up. you have to turn the velocity all the way up and take a couple shots then turn it back down to make it work, then whenever you take the c02 out you have to do the same thing whenever you put it back in. complicated. really i wouldnt buy it but a c98 would be very nice for him i haev one and its a VERY nice gun for a beginer. and its only chopped about three balls in 8 months.

Dude, you are so full of stuff. The Avenger hasnt even been out that long. Plus I've used one and am completely impressed, it's another step in the right direction for brass eagle, all they need is an adaptor to fit spyder grip frames on the avenger.

The Brass Eagle Avenger is a great gun for players new to the game:) For Christmas i bought my sister one(she is also 10) and she loves it and is pretty dam good with it. I think it would be a perfect gun to get him.:P
