Ive got a nice rail on my new A-5 and I tried putting on my friends scope...but that stupid odd shaped hopper kept getting in the way. are there any other hoppers that fit on that cyclone?

i know theirs bigger ones but i don't know about diffrent hoppers intirely i wouldn't get a new hopper which would probley be expensive for a scope which isn't even worth it becasue paintball guns are not accurate enough for scopes

No, there are no other hoppers that fit it. Scopes are useless anyway. The only thing they're good for is intimidation, and scouting in woods.

ya i was thinking more scout/sighting...no way any paintball gun will shoot close to any scope with magnification, but i was toying with the idea of a red dot...and not sure if that would fit. somebody needs to make a hopper for the a-5 that isnt rounded on the left side, but flat.

you could do it yourself.

that mod makes your hopper alot higher(u know what that does), why dont you instead by an offset sight rail from these people!

not necessarily, you could melt the side a bit then take off some of the plastic, then flatten it. you dont even have to take some plastic off if done right. You cold just flatten it, its not that hard. Btu u might wanna have a couple extra hoppers incase you F one up.

take the hopper and mark where the sight is being blocked...
then cut horizontally across so you get a big long hole.
then get a pcv tube, and cut it in half, and mount it into the long hole you have... so its like a perfect indentation you have and it is still plastic.
epoxy it on or superglue it, then spray it black so it matches the rest of the hopper.

plz dont melt the hopper and press it in as the molten plastic would stick to whatever youre pushing it in with. That pvc might look a bit ugly and would probably be kinda difficult to cut exacly right. I think an offset site rail would be your best bet for an a5.

i'm not that big on sights and making your gun scenerio like but wow, impressive gun. i would have used the money a bit differently but impressive. all those upgrades would eaisly cost over $400 (just upgrades, discluding gun)

Well, I would think the same exact way you do with the normal hopper. It's not going to make it any harder to reload..sure you're taking up more space, but you could still easily fit a pod full of paint in there.

no way! not even a 100 round pod! look at that pic that thing is tiny!
edit anyways it says this :
"This is an awesome addition to any A-5. Allows you to load from the top about 30 rounds. great for scenerios and training when you want to operate without the full hopper."

This dude made his own... Hopper (http://pic7.picturetrail.com/VOL210/2181064/4252216/64240026.jpg)
He claims it holds 50 rounds and he even added a little window to see the balls. 50's better then 30 I guess.
I'm for sure going to make a little project out of this. I'll keep you all posted.

..Really? Which are we talking about? I'm talking about the picture Eryk posted. That's a normal A-5 hopper pretty much.
Oh, nevermind, I see which you are talking about. And you're right...that thing is way too tiny. I'd suggest Eryk's idea over than anyday.

Warp feed owners have been doing something similiar for a long time in the hopes of getting their warp setup tighter. They'd melt an indentation into their rev, similiar to what you're looking for.
Here's a link to a PDF file Tom Kaye and AGD made on that very issue: http://www.airgun.com/downloads/hopper_modifications.pdf
