My flatline works great. For the record I have not broken one single ball in the barrel for the year and a half I had it. I have always used field paint too, not carefully selected paint.

Lots of people say the balls float implying they are moving slowly through the air. I have no problems shooting across my entire yard and hitting a target. They seems to float because they do not have the same trajectory as ball shooting from a standard barrel. I do agree though that at the far range the grouping spreads out and is less accurate then closer range. I would say that is true of any barrel including real firearms. Stop implying this is only true of the flatline.

There is a lot of physics involved with this barrel. Look up *Magnus Effect* and read for yourself. This is not a gimmic barrel.

I am out of paint and gas ATM, but I will make a video of the flatline in action hitting a distant target when I get more. I will be playing this weekend, so I should be able to make the videos soon. I also have a SmartParts AA 14" barrel I can shoot with for comparison.

Videos coming soon to a forum near you.

Um, since when does anybody doubt the ability of the flatline to go further. We all know it's not a gimic barrel, but at the same time it's not the most accurate barrel and it's a pain when you do get a break (and BTW, your video will do nothing to prove that you haven't gotten a break in over a year).

I never said my video will prove the balls do not break. Hell, I may even have one break in the flatline on the video :-)

I am going to show long range shots with a flat trajectory break on their target despite the appearance of a slow floating ball.

I am going to attempt to hit the same target with a straight barrel and show that I must arc the ball and that the shots will be less accurate at that range than the flatline.

I only want to provide some information to people interested in the flatline. The videos are only to show visual evidence of its ability and not just me stating my opinion.

I am doing this comparison for infomational purposes only. Not to prove x barrel is better than y barrel. Straight barrels have their merits too.

Tell you what, I will do a closer range accuracy test to with both barrels to be fair.

Yeah I mean sure its great it's just the flatline is well a very picky barrel if you ask me. And I dont like tinkering with it before games i just want to screw in my barrel and play. Thats why my flatline .......has been benched

great! I am also sick of all the crap the flatline takes from people who dont have one/cant install it correctly.

Although there are alot of physics involved with the flatline, the Magnus Effect does not apply since a paintball is not perfectly round and is not solid through the whole object (i.e. fill in the paintball is not full).

I am anxious to see your vid, but next time feel free to wait and make the thread AFTER you have the vids...
