okay ive been playing for two years and im playing this saturday in the speed ball field and im about to advance to another bunker and i lean my head out before doing so to make sure theres not anyone that i can get out before running and get shot twice right on top of the head and once on the hand. the hand wastnt bad but the head one was okay it didnt even bleed like a bunkering move would but it left a pretty big red mark and my mom saw it, note: it was just above my mask line, and freaked out and said i wasnt going back until i got a helmet, she doesnt know much about the sport so forgive her ignorance, and then said my mask sucks, a dye invision, my prize mask, i got it for only thirty bucks off a friend and love it. but this is pretty frustrating i dont know what to do, my friends come back every week bleeding from getting shot and ive never bled, its ridiculas, what to do...

That sucks. Maybe you should have showed her all of your welts from the beginning so she could grow accustomed to it.

Wear something on your head like a sandana, baseball hat, beanie, du rag, headwraps, headbands.
Combine all for mega head bounces.
just wear a hat or sweatband
keeps the sweat form getting in your eyes too

True what was said a few posts up.
Just wear a baseball cap (camo is always stylish :P ). I've been hit in the top of the head a few times(none broke, by the way), and there were no welts or scars (aside from the ones from my childhood  ).
And don't worry about a welt that bleeds...you won't feel it anyway until you actually look at it...Mine looked like I had been shot with a solid AP round ( ), but it didn't hurt until I looked at it.

the one good bleeder i got hurt pretty damn bad, although i was reffing, and i got shot in the wrist from literally an inch away...
anyway i dont know your mother and they are all different so i cant really make a suggestion on what to do, but the heatshield idea is good if you have money and dont mind basically lying to your parents, personally my parents dont care but if they did i would just ignore them and they would give up on it because it isnt a big deal

I agree with the Esprit. Just get a headshield and show it to her, but don't actually use it.

Tell your mom to pay for the helmet and then take it with you when you go to play but don't use it.
