reasons for not having the money you want for a gun:
1) no job
2) job doesn't pay enough
3) you spend money on other things
solutions:
1) get a job
2) find a better paying job
3) stop spending money on stuff that isn't priority. if paintball isn't high on your priority list, it shouldn't bother you that your gun sucks.

Nice list Spydey. It's true, everyone complains about people having a good gun, then you ask them what their favorite things to do are and paintball isn't even top 5 on the list. When people ask me why I don't spend my money on other things the answer is simple. Because paintball is the best thing to spend my money on IMO.

exactly. a friend of mine spent upwards of $300 on a stereo system + cd's for his truck & buys new springer airsoft guns weekly (they break easily) despite having a low paying job, and then complains to me that he can't afford a new pb gun. "stop buying those damn little bb pistols! you've got more pistols than you have teeth!"

I would like to do something like that to my truck and get rims, but it's just too expensive. People shouldn't complain about paintball being too expensive if they're into buying stuff like that for their cars. I'm glad my truck had Flowmasters on it when I bought it, otherwise I would have had to pay over $200 for a nice sound and a little HP.

im unique...my parents absolutely hate paintball(the cost aspect)...
they wont even let me spend MY OWN damn money!!

Don't sweat it coolrazer. I started with a Tasco Spartan Pump, eventually went to a Spyder TL, eventually went to an Angel, got out of turny play, went back to my Spyder TL, to a Tippmann 98, to one of the many E-Spyders, to a Armotech WG-65, and now I'm back to a Tippmann A-5. God only knows how many other marker in between there. I actually enjoy where I am now though!

Hey Jaster!
Do you remember the first marker you owned? How about the first marker you used.
The first marker I ever used was a side hopper splatmaster then later a PGP pump.

As I said before the first marker I owned (ans I still use it occasionally) is a Tasco Spartan pump.

A LONG TIME AGO, IN A TIME FAR, FAR AWAY . . . .
Paintball was Splatball . . . .
CO2 wasn’t always refillable . . . .
The field was everywhere . . . .
We used to play wherever we could; backyards, open fields, any wooded areas, up and down the street at night. One pocket’s full of CO2 powerlets and another’s full of splatballs. You'd strap on your shop goggles and you’re ready to go!
I never really owned a true mask until I started using PGPs and Sheridan markers. I go rid if the shop goggles and got myself a pair of JT Whipper Snappers (which I loved, still own today, and wish they were legal so I could still use them) and played at a semi-organized field around 1988-89.
The original JT Whipper Snappers!
http://www.tyger.us/paintball/camocats/camsnap3.JPG
God I miss using that mask!

I'm a total noob to this sport, but I have endless respect to the people who've made it what it is.
Played my first game in April (could never justify it cause it's SOOOO expensive) and instantly fell in love. 1.5 months later got my first marker (Check sig.)
There are a lot of idiots out on the field on any given day (from my brief experience) but thus is the nature of any sport. It's crazy fun and I think I'll be playing it for many years to come.
It was so weird going from a real gun to a pball gun though.. man (especially a mangled Model98c rental)
Guns I've fired...
Canadian FN C1A1 (Made by Lee Enfield circa WWI)
British SA-80 Machine Gun
GP-51 (Single Shot SA-80 for cadets)
British Bren LSW (Dear God, talk about your power!)
Single Shot .22
Pump Action Shotgun
(Army cadets, teenagers with firearms, w00t)

More then you'll ever know....At the time though, ANYTHING was better then the shop goggles we had. I can't even count how many shots to the mouth I've taken or shots to the ears...
I remember the first time I went to a "real" field... big signs everywhere "NO HEAD SHOTS". People would actually get tossed out of play for gogging someone. Can anyone picture that now a days?
I had one of those too. My first "real" mask. That bad boy NEVER fogged and it was sooo comfy. I'll have to dig through the attic at my folks house to see if it's still around... I haven't seen one of those in years and years.

Ahhh... memories. I miss those night time street games. The streed I lived on was like a "T". the top of the t were dead end streets. End to end about 3/4 of a mile. We would make "base camps" at each end. Old school capture the flag. That was so much fun. Thing was though, no one ever thought twice about seeing 20 kids at a shot running up and down the street. All the parents use to watch out the windows and get a kick out of it. I guess at the time "playing Army guy" was still ok and didn't cause to kids to become terrorists...
