i want to move up...

hey guys, i am kinda new to this site, but not new to paintball. i have been playing recball for about 4 years on and off. i have played against established teams in pickup games before and fared rather well. i think now is my time to move up, i have an offer to try out for a team, but they dont seem like they will be going anywhere. i may be at a disadvantage because i am already 20 years old...i have played with a cocker for awhile and now i am getting an impulse to start stepping my game up, i play well up front, as long as i have a good team. i like teamwork and am not much for solo glory. i get the job done, even if it means getting eliminated. but, i just want a little help here from experienced tourney players, is it still possible at my age, with well rounded skills and quick reflexes and movements, to move to pro? (eventually) i really desire to make it to nppl level. tell me whats involved. i would really appreciate your help.

Just think about your game all the time. When you get home from the field focus on what you did wrong and what you did right. Practice in your yard. I practice everyday without fail and have developed skill. Play against team that can really ball...teams like D3 team or higher, dont waste your time going to a nooby field where only a few plyers have skill. Go to field where pros hang out and watch them playn and let them shoot the **** out of you And no its not impossible to to make it to the nppl at the age of 20. Im 16 and I have a good start to making it to the nppl and i wont quit till im there. Go to try outs hosted by D2 and D3 and hope you do something right. Becasue if oyu never try you wont get the chance to play BIG. I know that really dident help but to get to where you want to be in pb takes time and patients...some of my friends play D3 so I know my goal isent out of my reach.

no but really, at 20 if u work ur butt off training u might be able to. just look aroung for tams that are doing tryouts, and chose from there.

Watch vidoes, go to www.derder.com . See what they do well and apply it. Be dedicated, I run at least 3 times a week just so I will be in good shape for paintball. Find a coach, 2 Div 3 NPPL teams coach my team, and it helps us a lot.

i have seen every clip they have there...i go to the gym 4 times a week i need a coach though...thanks. keep it up guys this is great...its nice talking to new people too.

I have the same dream to. But im almost 16, not 20. But I think anyone no matter what age has a chance. It dont matter how old you are. Just matters how good you are.
