I scratched the frame on my marker pretty bad trying to get the pin out once, and I wanted to see if I could rub it out with something pretty cheap.. any suggestions?

You could also learn how to take the pin out right.
Try polish if it's not to deep. Or just go to wally world and get some enamel model paint the same color as your marker.
You gouged your marker when taking out the pin.....On a spyder xtra.....:eyes:

yes, it's called hitting the pin from the wrong side, and the allen key slipping off and scratching :D wtf is wally world? and I mean what kind of polish.

Wally world=wal-mart
You don't hit the pin. Just push and hold onto the velocity adjuster and pull out the pin. It slides out.
I am not sure what polish you need. I must first know how deep this cut is. Take a pic or scan it if you can.

He's talking about the pins on the grip frame...which you DO have to hammer out.

you used an allen wrench? try using a small screw driver because the points will stick into the pin and it wont move as much.

an allen wrench works fine when you hit it from the right side..

aluminum is VERY soft...so we (in paintball) must be very careful...personaly i hate aluminum...its soft, weak, expensive, and won't hold a good polished finish...

That depends on what grade of aluminum you use...

*meh* I'd say it's worth the weight advantage over steel, and a shiny finish steel can scratch about as easier as a shiny finish on aluminum.
Also, not very many people can afford titanium alloy paintball markers, so we get aluminum.
I think aluminum is, at this point, the best material for this particular application.
Also, some companies use high quality, air-craft grade aluminum (ICD), some companies don't (SP).
:D
