BKO velocity

I've read many threads about velocity problems with the 2004 BKOs, but none of which helped me particularly.

Today was the first time I gased up my 2004 BKO Xtreme. So far I have only touched the HPR and have only managed to get the velocity around 170-190fps (at ~300psi.) Should I have to adjust my LPR? Do I need a new HPR? I dont know what to do...

There are two ways to adjust your velocity.

1. Turn your hpr to 225-250. Turn your lpr all the way up until you hear a leak from your solenoid. That leak it okay, it just means your solenoid is bleeding. When you hear the leak, turn the lpr down a quarter of a turn, you should have good FPS readings from there.

2. Turn your hpr to 225-250. Turn your lpr all the way down, and then turn it up. Shoot at the chrono, and adjust the lpr from there.

Okay, thank you. I'll try that, but first, what do I use to adjust the LPR?

you can use a nickel or quarter

use #1 that JB suggested, turn your LPR in all the way til you hear a slight leak ,then a quarter turn back out. If you need to adjust your FPS from then on out use your HPR

Thanks, I used #1 and have gotten my velocity to 250fps avg. But will I need to get a new reg if I want to get it up to about 275? I can't seem to get it higher than 255.

Refering to ImpYa's "04 Bko Faq", if my board shoot over 15bps, does that mean its a 36bps board?

well im pretty sure 04 extremes are capped at like 18-20!! i think!!??

you should be able to get it higher then 255, how high have you tried to get your HPR? I know 04 bko's run a bit higher at about 275-300psi to get at 280-300fps
