yer talking about apples and oranges, but in quietness, "stock" intimidators, as in NON-LP modded intimidators are quite loud. Not like BOOM BOOM BOOM, but not like pop pop pop either..
LP modded intimidators are slightly quieter.. they sound liek a totally different gun acctually, but still not comparitively that much quieter.
If your decision is between a cocker and an intimidator, it has to be like this: Are you used to the way a cocker fires? Like are u able to NOT short stroke? Do you like how fast a cocker can fire?
If not, if you like NOT chopping like... hardly ever... if you like excellent accuracy (similar although not quite as good as a cocker), and if you want a HIGH rate of fire with a very small trigger lenght... then get an intimidator... don't base your decision on the sound of the gun... thats foolish.. who really cares how it sounds? its all performance and preferance.

i dunno about quietness as in stock but i know that if you get the low pressure mod it will be slightly quieter and not as much recoil.

well i am looking at the big picture and it is one of the thing that turns me off to the timmy. it will not be what decides it for me though. i just want to know about how loud it is.

are you on a cable connection? check this video out. It is with a LP moded timmy though which I think is what you plan on doing. Also vern has said that most refs cannot hear his gun from another side of the field. here is the link if you are on cable or DSL: www.pettypb.com/timisob80.avi
