actually, its selfish to try to hold a suicidal person here. they are very unhappy, and their life is filled with emotional pain. so to keep them here, is to sentence them to a life of suffering.

i dont see how its selfish. they are their own person, and i'd rather they do what they feel they need to to end their suffering.

Rawr suicide is selfish because the people that didn't give a damn about you when you were alive and never tried to help you will be sad and have to cry when they remember you. I have tried in a round about way. Tried drinking myself to death when I was Active Duty several times. Never worked so I only became more pissed off and deteremined and would drink more. At some point I was up to 2 cases/day during duty hours and was never questioned cause I could still do my job. At the time it seemed like an 'honorable suicide'. Since then I have realized that I am meant to be in this uniform to serve a purpose. NO I didn't find God or religion, but I have made changes in my life. I still have a rough and abrasive attitude, but I am married(4 years this past June), and am much content than I have been in a long time. So my reasons for not killing myself are as follows:
1. My wife.
2. I'm mentally stronger than those that have.
3. Life is but a game and I intend to win.
4. Homocide can be more enjoyable.
5. I can't die(been shot, stabbed, run over, blown up, and I'm still here)
6. No insurance if I commit suicide.
