Piranhas are so close together, I just wanted to see what the gernal mass thinks about the subject.

Im personally a Piranha Owner, and I think that piranhs are better.
granted there isnt much of a performance difference between any blowback, but I just think, from what spyders I have used, that the piranhas are a little bit better put together
So im not going to bluntly say that Piranhas are better, ive grown very attached to my Piranha, and im basing this statement on the spyders that ive used (E-99, victor, imagine)
but this is of course strictly in my opinion

I agree with this. But spyders have more potential in them.:D

Only cuz of their price. Alot more people generally buy Spyders because they are cheaper and that is what beginners like.
I myself prefer Piranhas. I have shot the Spyder Victor, Xtra, Imagine and Compact 2 in 1 java. My E Force Gti is more durable then them, alot better in quality and looks. My Piranha feels alot better in my hand then Spyders. I get a lot better feeling from it on the field then any Spyder. My Piranha gets an average of 30-40 more shots of a tank then any of the Spyders I have shot, all stock. My Piranha's hammer is lighter then a Spdyer's, same with the bolt.

It's all personal preference. They are basically the exact same thing. Although I must admit I really like the feel for those e-force triggers.

why dose everyone think that u can upgrade spyders more the piranhas? I have seen nice spyders and I have also seen nice piranhas. they are basically the same gun and most upgrade will work for both guns. they look a little different and piranhas come more equipped(that why they cost more) other than that they preform the same. maybe not stock because pmi puts a little extra into there guns but if they both had the same upgrades they would be the same. they both shoot at about 13bps max. and everything else like barrels and regs can be upgraded.

spyders for upgrades, piranhas for standard measurements & standard bottom lines.

Spyder for upgrades? Spyder and Piranhas have the same if not equal amount of upgrades.

no they don't. since spyders are more common than piranhas more companies produce more parts for them. there is without a doubt a larger selection of upgrades for a spyder.

Pirahna's use a full body design so u cant put Cip assult blocks on it. No T1 kit, Pretty sure u can change feed neck. no t-board. There are many things u cant do with a Fish thau can with a Spyder.

there are boards that will work in piranhas that have eye support,
one being the morlock, and there are others of course

WRONG!> Thanks to Boss, the T1 kit can fit on a Piranha, it has been done.
Where is the option for a tie?
I own a Spyder, and a shop around me wont sell Spyders, while the other two do.
Its a tossup.

my personal oppinion is that spyders have neither good looks, plus there starting features would be the reason they cost so much less, why else would there be so many upgrades for them, pirahnas look hot, and they shoot beautiful, but thats my oppinion

IMO fishy>spyder, just because of the cosmetics of the thing, and the base features. all blowback and hybrid blowback guns function and shoot about the same. i would highly suggest getting a job and buying an electo pneumatic or a hybrid electo, but that just me. i think that at a certain point your capablities plateu with a blowback marker.

The new JTs own spyders and pirahnas :D
At least the Protium I've shot was far superior to any spyder or pirahna i've shot in stock trim.

Congratulations, they also cost a human kidney and a pint of virgin blood more than spyders and fishys. If you spent as much on a spyder imagine and upgrades as you do on any of the new JT's, the spyder will kick the crap out of it and then some.

Do you guys understadn how incredibly useless this is? Piranha owners will always go with piranha. Spyder owners will go with spyders.
It is useless to argue this stuff.
Both companies are very much the same. They both put out cheap guns. And they both put out extreemly over-priced guns (i.e. Raven).

I don't know a lot about piranhas, but I do know a good deal about spyders. It seems to me that Kingman does a great job of putting out a line of guns that you can buy based on price, and what level you would like to start from. You can buy a base Victor for very cheap, or you can go all the way up to the Fenix or the Raven line. I know all blow backs operate the same, but you can take into consideration what upgrades you plan to make. For instance, everybody knows that the stock barrel sucks. So the first thing you do is buy an after market barrel. Kingman knows this, so to keep cost down they put on cheap barrels, and let you pick out the one that you like best.
You can buy a Victor if you just want to play. You can buy an Imagine if you want an electro. You can buy a Fenix if you want a few more ups like a regulator. Or you can go get a Primal if you want eyes. I bought my Pilot because I like the look, and the way the electronics are set up. However, I knew when I bought it that I was going to put on a Palmers Regulator, and a CIP assault block. So why would I spend the money on a Fenix with a reg if I was just going to replace it. The point is that it is all personal preference, and how much you want to spend. If you like the Spyder get a Spyder. If you like the Piranha get a Piranha. Hell, if you like the Angel speed, and you have the money go for it. Just remember that paintball is a game, and were supposed to be having FUN. :agree:

True, true, true..................But you have to know that prices will come down as supply and demand start to tease each other...shoot have you even seen a new jt gun in a store?!

i saw a jt 3.5 in my local sporting store. jt makes really good masks but i really don't like there guns. they look cool. and spyder piranha are just about the same ok. if you were thinking about only spending about 100 i would say get a spyder. if you were going to spend 200 i would say get a piranha. they work the same.

Im not going to say that one performs better than the other, although, the Spyder has a few more upgrades available, I like my Piranha, and im going to continue to upgrade the hell out of it. I like the feel and look of Piranhas better, they are more comfortable, just an opinion of course, I would say they perform equally though.

I own both, and i like the piranha way better. I also own a dragun, mongoose and tippman 98. I even *embarassed* own a brass eagle avenger and two stingrays. And all of the obove except the avenger i like better than my spyder. And for when i have to play with the big dogs i have a 2003 vert feed cocker with some ups. So ive shot a lot of guns in my 20 year paintball career. And the one that sets in the box collecting dust the most is the spyder. No one seems to want to use it. LOL. Ive seen people grab the avenger before the spyder. And the spyder even has a bunch of bob long ups on it.
Maybe in this part of the woods every one has seen how poor the reliabilty can be [not always but a lot] with a spyder. Also ive seen a lot of my freinds with spyders throw theirs to the bottom of the paintball box. Its just my experience that spyders seem to have reliability issues too often.

A Spyder has no worse reliability than any other blowback.

What paintballer doesn't? There's a point when a blowback, Spyder or not, will not cut it anymore. Blowbacks in general are not the most reliable guns. A Spyder isn't going to go down any more than a Piranha, Mongoose, or Dragun. They are all based on the same concept and design.

and you gotta remember with polls like these, half, if not a lot more, of these votes are uneducated...
not uneducated that ur stupid, but uneducated that you own a spyder and your very attached to it, which rules out all of its flaws, that sorta thing, im also guilty of being attached to my piranha, thats why im gonna put zoki's electro pneumatic kit on it when the crew gets the thing outa beta tesing...
(zoki-kit.tk)
but ive also shot my fair share of spyders too...and thats what I base my opinion on.
