grrr snipers

The other day I was playing at my field and I noticed some kids just sitting in some bushes not to far out from the start point (woodsball) I was on the front line, doing something. After the game I ask them "What are you doing back there, we really couldhave used you on the frontline." "We were sniping!" oh vey. Honestly, how does "sniping" help the team? I've never seen a sniper knock out more than three people a game. One argument is well "we only use like three shots to knock someone out". Kudos to you, kudos, but I just knocked out more than 10 people using a decent amount of paint, but I helped my team win. Also, you must use some common sense. What do you think would be harder to hit? someone from 100+ft "sniping" or someone from 30 or less feet by being on the front line.

bah i hate campers, so stuck in their ways of lazyness/sniping belief/scared of being hit.

The only reason i'd give some people a break for camping is in attack/defend scenarios or capture the flag.

Campers are definatly the worst. Especially (sp) in speedball. It just pisses me off. Let people think they are snipers.......they obviously don't know what they are talking about.

if there are snipers in paintball, they never need to tell you that they're snipers. anyone that calls themself a sniper is a n00b. the real ones don't have to brag or give themselves a label.

the thing that really sucks at one of the woodsball field i have played at before is that at one of the starting points, there is like a triangle type thing that noobs always sit in. so when its just like 2 noobs left, they each hold one side and they are perfectly fine because others cant go around because it is out of bounds. but there is a little trick i found. there is a bush, a really really big bush right in front of their bunker. i go inside it, make my way through and up to the bunked, jump over, and make them both surrender (would unload into them but with open its "against the rules" even though the refs know me well enough).

If they really get three people a game, then why bother them? If everyone on your team got three people a game then you'd win handidly. (despite there being a distinct lack of targets for each person to actually get three)

If you really get 10+ people, then you either need to find tougher competition or clone yourself a few times and turn pro.

Damnit, I was playing paintball yesterday and I went around a corner and boom! Instant headshot! The guy did it 10 more times to my whole team and we accused him of aimbotzors and they banned him.

I just think it is funny that people think they are snipers by sitting in one far away place. All a sniper is defined as is "one who shoots at another from a concealed place." Military snipers often sit very far away because the guns are very loud, and it is easier to extract from the location after a mission without being compromised, which is why people think that they are "snipers" just because they are shooting at someone from far away (but in fact, they are just misguided souls wasting lots of paint, hurting their own team, and looking foolish.)

The way to "snipe" most effectively in paintball is to get up close without being seen, have a clear spot of a path that will probably traveled, fire a shot or two when someone does walk by (and you're close when you do this, so you shouldn't miss the majority of your shots,) and then move again. When you move from a place without being seen, people lose where you are and you can then "shoot from a concealed place," this time, from a new location.

And yes, I dislike people who sit there and waste the day, too.

I go into sniper mode when i play hopper ball, lol I go "AHHHH SNIPER!!!" then i aim and shoot, it's really funny, and I've actually gotten a couple one shot hits, even from across field, it was super funny, I saw a hopper, shot once, watched it, then a second later his lid popped open, and i started laughing and said "SNIPER STRIKES AGAIN!" then my brother gogged me... :|

I hate camping in one on one's, even though I do it sometimes. otherwise camping is super dumb.

ive got no problem with camping, or with people rushing, hell i do both. but ive realized when im a front gunner, i get out real fast, when im a camper, ill never hit anyone, even with a flatline. but what works best for me, is just follow the crowd, and not try and be a hero. last time i dodged up the field it left 23 welts on my body, some of them are still here today, (a week later)

DOOD! In our tourney we sniped so many guys our last game. We put twigs and leaves and branches in the back of our goggle straps for camo and sniped so many guys! Seriously though, it was quite funny, cause we had a very peachy day on a very peachy field, so our last game against the first place team we did the camo thing and stalemated em and I think knocked em outta the finals.
