Today, I got LIT. My whole team got SPANKED.
By some guys with some Boomsticked, HPA running Autocockers.
The tactics were good... but we didnt do that bad. The problem we had was that our stock barrles just couldnt hang with the accuracy.
I'm going to sell my Detonics Combat Master (if you dont know what that is check my web page) and buy a few things such as an Expansion Chamber, Regulator, and a NEW BARREL!
(I got plenty of guns, and dont mind liquidating one for a good cause.)
I've read all the reviews here and I am confused as to which one a should get.
I'm torn between 3. I'm shooting Marbs out of an STS G2...
1. Dye Boomstick
2. J&J Ceramic
3. 32 Degrees Carbon Fiber Barrel
Also - Whats the ideal barrel length? I'm thinking 14 inches.

Well, as they say, "It's not the plane, but the pilot."
And these guys were very very good... It would have been nice though if our Fw 190's were not going up against F-22s...
So what's the scoop on these barrels? I know I cant really go wrong with any of these as all are way ahead of stock - but which one is better than the others?

carbon fibers clean out and get 90% accuracy back after a break within 3 shots

The carbon fiber would seem to be delicate...
Why J&J?
I'm looking for technical reasons... I want technical reasons... but probable all 3 are fantastica barrels and they only leave room for personal opinions.
I'm leaning to the Boomstick in a 14" lenght.
I know some consider 12" to be nirvana - but a 14 has a better hush to it and you dont lose anything. Besides, I'm used to packing 14 inch barrels M-4s so 14 just sounds right to me.

So why do over 75% of the pro players use barrels that look like those Dyes?

They look cool and they are extremely accurate. In general they are pretty light weight (depending on what you get) and they are overall great barrels. Just don't get it too long (like 18") cause after 14" it doesn’t do you any good.

Dye boomstick, 105 at http://www.shop4paintball.com, I personally havent used it, but I am getting a J&J two piece for 80. I heard it was the same performance. I will tell you how it plays.

no carbon fibre is very strong, its the best technology around, its used for formula 1 cars because of its high strength to weight ratio.

ohyeah if you want good evidence for which barrel, here's come for the J n' J ceramic. I play lots of 1 on 1, w/ my stock barrel against my brother games would probly be 20 minutes average and it would be 50 50on who would win, since i got my ceramic, the first game I won in less than 5 min, the second game was under 10, and he hasn't beat me since i got the ceramic.(last week but we've been playing a lot due to break) and the brother who i beat is using the carbon fiber.
