View Full Version : Trigger bounce

I was getting a lot of trigger bounce today with my b2k2. Sometimes I would pull the trigger and hold it down and it would only shoot once. Other times I would hold it down and it would go full auto for about 25 shots.
The gun was set for semi auto, and I tried both 8ms dwell and 10ms(the highest possible). I also tried unscrewing the bottem screw in my trigger (I have the older 2k2 frame so theres only 2 screws in the trigger), but even after screwing it way out I was still getting a little bounce. Does anyone know how to cure this?

If you don't know what it is read up on it instead of asking a question in a already question thread. Anyway have you done any trigger mods?

I haven't done any trigger mods. I have a 2k2 stock frame with a CiP Razorback trigger.

What board?
You should try backig out your top screw so the trigger actuates later in the pull and also backing out the bottom screw a lil too to make ur pulll longer. You can also try using a heavier spring.

I have a 2k2 LCD board w/ a Tantrum chip, set to semi. I already tried backing out the bottem screw, but I'll try it with the top screw once I get some more air. Thanks for the suggestions.

Backing out the bottom screw usually has no effect on a trigger that is bouncing because the bounce comes from how the switch is actuated.
With your top screw turned in fra enough your trigger switch will actually act as back travel stop like the bottom screw is suppose to act. With the normal recoil of the marker the switch will reset and should a little back pressure be held on the trigger you will see the marker shoot again and again and again etc....
Do as stated above. Turn your top screw out about a half turn and then adjust your bottom screw until you have your trigger pull set to the length that you desire. I will bet that you bounce is gone or virtually gone. Should you find that doing the above doesnt help refer to your manual for the chip and make sure you have the marker in semi and not unfiltered semi. There is a big difference between the two.

Thanks a lot shootpaint and p8ntballkid, turning out the top screw did the trick.

My trigger had a bit of bounce last time I played. This is how I have my trigger setup:
micro-swich acvitation close to start of pull
medium spring tension
far trigger stop (I find a close stop messes up my trigger walking momentum, if that makes sense.)
The only time it would bounce is if I tapped the side of the trigger or I fired it at like a 35 degree angle.
