Hi, I was looking at new guns when i came across all these reviews saying these guns can get 22 bps. But what I dont get is that you cant use full auto at the parks or tournements so how are you able to get sumthin crazy like that with ur fingers? I dont get it.
-thanks

The only way you CAN get that with your fingers is with some sort of ramping or "nitro" mode.

if you have fairly fast fingers you could walk it that fast. Or the gun could have a bounce issue, making it fire that fast, but most like ley alot of people aint gunna be able to walk that fast

its all in your fingers. its possible to go that fast just unlikely. most people get about 13 or 14 at the most. Then you got those back guys who always practice that can go 18 or so.

My coach pulled 23 bps on an Eblade at Mardi Gras. It was at the WGP booth, he won the trigger pull contest on the second day. If you don't believe me, I can find the link.

That is the max. Chances are you won't reach it. The new Intimidators go 25bps max, same as the last generation ones because they know bps above 25 won't ever be reached and will be wasted. Whereas other new guns say 30+ bps, however the work they put in to getting it above 30 bps is wasted because you won't ever be firing that fast, and if you are it will either be in your backyard or get you pulled for ramping.

How do you bounce and ramp?
You dont, it's all in the electronics of the gun.

You can't pull 23 on an Eblade. We know this because its impossible to pull an Eblade, since it takes exactly 2 pulls to send it bouncing into a maelstrom.
The key to pulling fast is in the wrist. Your fingers don't really move faster than 13 balls per second, but you can twitch your wrist to give you an extra 4 to 8 balls per second (I've hit 19 in a game without gloves, and 16 with gloves.)

Most people exaggerate or guess and are waaay off.
over 10 balls per second isn't too hard if you have a good gun, i watched Lamantethepbguy on saturday fan his mag trigger and outshoot his rico AK pretty easily.
I've outshot egg2s with imps and emags, its not to hard if your like me and walk everything with your fingers all the time.

Can you give the link? I want to see this....
I can pull 14 a sec on timmies, 16 if I try, and 18 if there is bounce.
I know another guy at my field who pulls 19 with one finger, and no bounce or ramping. When you look his finger is moving like mad, and his wrist has a rythmic twitch. He holds the speed for like two seconds then his hand is tired.
Osiris kits with two switchs and rocking triggers can be pulled at 36 a second.

Hybrid is right though, most people exaggerate or guess. Trust me when I tell you its really hard to tell the difference between speeds by ear. Then you can get into different types of counting bps to skew the figures even more. Some frames count the time between two shots instead of over an entire second. That means while the frame may say 18, you really were only shooting 16 constantly. The real test is to take a sound recording and count the fires in one second-which I'm doubting anybody actually does before they tell you how fast they are shooting.

I can easily shoot 14-15 bps on a timmy. ANd arond the same on an eblade.

i'd like to know where you guys are getting your numbers, because i doubt many of you are using a chrono to measure bps and are just guessing :o

I have only tested on my gun, but I get 12 bps. I tested it by recording it through my computer and then using the goldwave program.

All I will say is when I go to work on my teammate's Z-Timmy, the EggII (y-board) sometimes causes me to miss shots.
Of course, Egg's DO suck...I should slap my Halo on it and see what I can do.

i've out shot an egg on my viking, but really, anyone pulling more than 16-18 has to turn down their debounce.

Every body wants to be ecool and say they had the highest bps.
Over a chrono i can consistently pull 7bps on my tippmann, and not just for a second, it can go on until the fingers get tired.

You should get an apache, the kids were amazed enough at your mag and rico as is:laugh:
Nothing is really too accurate except for the sound recordings, or filling you hopper with an exact amount of balls and getting a stop watch and timing how long it took you to empty it then divide balls by seconds...its somewhat accurate.

Yes, and hsuve's lcd also told him he was hitting like 53 bps. So they aren't very accurate, as you can tell.
if it says 53 a second it means that within a second, he pulled the trigger really fast and if he would of kept that speed up he would have gotten 53 a second.

It depends how it's measured. WAS measures by counting the number of pulls in an actual second. Some boards measure by dividing the time between two pulls (meaning if you pulled twice and they were .01 seconds apart, you would be technically shooting 100 balls per second.)
WAS (which I've measured myself on) counts a second's worth of shots after each shot, meaning at any given time it's actually counting 13-22 different rates of fire.
Boards that read inaccurately extrapolate yor ROF, baords that read accurately interpolate.
