I just went to Mexico like 3 weeks ago, they didn't check any of the cars going in, but going out they do, just dont give the suspicious look and be honest

Here's the deal. I've been across the border many times with my guns and even though I'm white, I look 10x more suspiscius than you, trust me. (picture below)
What you need to do, is inform the customs people that you are transporting a paint marker which is a piece of athletic equipment for the sport of Paintball. It is not considered by either the United States Government nor the Canadian goverment to be a firearm. It is not loaded and even follows the guidelines to transport firearms. (ie put the gun in the trunk, put the tanks and paint in another section of the car). Be REALLY calm with the officer. Tell him the information freely and do not withold ANYTHING. Offer to show him the marker but don't insist upon it. Be VERY careful about the words you choose with speaking. These people are very jumpy and if you are calm, so will they be.
