I prefer Hyperball, so to me paint ball is my skill verses the other dudes. And i like to think of it as the ultimate arcade game. Also a slf prooving ground, but i suck so.... I like it as every thing but a war game, cuase it ain't to me, and war sucks.

It's a lifestlye. And to me, it's a proving ground, I've changed alot in my outlooks since I've started playing paintball, and I've realised I'm a much more capable person than I thought I was. Paintball has taught me how to make split second decisions and stick to em once their made. I've learnt what it means to be decisive, and I can only hope I continue learning

It's a game where things don't always work (or fly) the way you want them to, and you have to have fun, and an imagination to make it all work out.

Then afterward you can talk about how you snap shot 2 people with in a second of each other who were 50 ft. apart or any other story, that you will remember for a long time.

It's kinda like fishing to me, unless an ocasion happens, I usually do it at my summer cabin, I do it with family and getting ready to go and setting up and talking about it is half the fun.

and if your gona get out do it in a splat of paint charging all the way.

I couldn't agree more. I view everything from a paintball point of view. Ever since I started playing, I've been a more easygoing person, and the people I play with have really rubbed off on me for the better.

Hell, I even say "Good game" after we whup *** at flag football in gym class...:D

i think its a game of stragety, speed, skills, and the ability to outsmart your opponents (same as strategy but sounds better). I play speedball and I consider it a sport.

to me paintball is a sport. it is very fun when you play with a team of friends and you guys can all practice and prepare for tournaments. the best part is playing in tournaments and competing.

Someone might get mad at me for this, but it's like an arcade game on the one hand, but I've also thought of it somewhat as a war game.....not in the sense of "Oh, I get to shoot people, this is cool" but in the sense of "I'm hit. If this were war, I wouldn't get a new game...." It gives you a better appreciation of what our soldiers do. Think about it. Even the next time you shoot someone think "If this were war, I've just made a widow." Next time you get hit think "If this were war, I wouldn't be going back out on the field." So it DOES teach me something about war and what our soldiers do....and to me it's almost unbelievable that there are people who make things like that their career, that we might know a safer America.

The way war is waged and paintball (speedball  ) is played are very differant. If we were playing paintball, and real military people saw the way we were playing, they'd be disgusted with the risks we take, but we take them because we can, and because you need to, to win the game. Not a flame, just a thought.

I don't think the military would be disgusted with the risks we take. If you were to observe military urban assault training, (I've only seen recruitment videos) they pull off things that seem way more intense and risky, but they cut the risk factor with their communication, training, and preparedness. It's all one smooth motion for them.

For me, Paintball is the only thing that makes me feel alive anymore. Nothing compares to the rush from being the point man with nothing but a PT Enforcer and a head full of paranoia, justified by the paint volleys flying inches overhead every couple seconds. The threat of real pain is palpable. Then the enemy neglects your position and pushes their line past you, leaving their backs exposed...

It's an obsession. When I see a large pile of money in a movie, I think "How much paint could I buy?". When I drive and see a large open field I think "Hmmm.....how many speedball fields could I fit in there?". When I go to a Titan football game, I think "Now would I start putting bunkers at the 20 or wait until the 30?"
