My team and I are going there this Saturday (12/8/01), supposedly they have some sweet sup air fields. I will tell you about it on Sunday when we get back.

P.S. Are there any beginner teams that go to S.C. often and would maybe like another team to practice with? Contact me at KlumpDud@aol.com or you can check out theteam website (http://www.geocities.com/teamoverload). Laterz!

I went there last night. I didnt like it that much. There are 3 5 man airball fields that are all the same Im pretty sure. Well after the first 4 games which combined lasted around 10 minutes or less we had a break. After about 15 minutes they anounced 3 minutes until we play again. Now 15 minutes is a little long sonce everyones stuff and airfills are 200 feet or less from each field. Well about 15 later, they announce again 3 minutes get to the field. Me and my friends were at the benches in front of the field. So about 8 minutes later the refs start getting to the field and players start to follow. Then after a few games, Full breach a novice team shows up with about 10 people. So the refs make it Full breach against the rest. Well that left about 15 on our team. So off the break I was sweet spotting a lane and when I look for a bunker to run to, theres no way I can fit in any of them with all the other people. The rest of the night I was fighting to fit in bunkers with 2 or 3 other people.
It was really crowded and I dont know what they do if more than that show up which was about 25.
If you a rec baller I would not go here. If you like speedball and tourney play this is a cool place if there arent alot of people there. 7 people per team is about the most you can have without people hanging out of bunkers because theres no room. They did combine 2 fields for the beginners which had about 30 people. Might be worth trying out once or going at night when you cant go any other time, I probably wont go there unless I rent the whole place one night.

agree with J_Favre. I braved the ticket counter at the Oakland airport just so I could take my gear down to socal and play at this new arena. There are some cool staff members, but there are some refs that are pretty bad at calling games (particularly the older lady who stands in a crossfire and whines about getting hit). There was quite a bit of wiping going on too.

The facilities are nice but they are too small. There is almost no where to run on the break if you've got more than 5 people. They separate a hockey ring into 3 fields, if that gives you any indication of the size. Sometimes they will let you play a game on 2/3 of the field.

The guns are chroned way too high for such a small field (280). Getting pelted numerous times in such close quarters is not fun.

You'd have more fun playing on 2/3 of the field with a private reservation. Hopefully they are getting feed back from customers and make some changes.
