Giveaway?

hey, pbnation is doing this giveaway thing. wheres pbreview's :(

ill donate a dollar to the pool to raise some cash for a giveaway.

we need to get some business owners to donate some small items and then have them raffled off to members or something of that nature.

excellent advertisement for business owners, good way to attract new pbreview members.

everyone wins.

I second the giveaway notion! I figure that with all the money you guys are making from advertisments, you could occasionally give something away to the most helpful mod or non mod or both. They should be prizes, not raffles.

Andrew, you should make the giveaways PRIZES. That way someone doesn't just waltz into the site, ask one question, never come back, and then win an Angel. Making them prizes would encourage more posting and a friendlier environement. You could have differnt categories for each. the mods would vote on the non-mods and the non-mods would vote on the mods. We could do:

Most helpful non-mod
Most helpful mod
Newbie assistance award
Friendliest

and so on....

Your name would be required to be submitted by a mod before the non mods would vote on it, likewise for the mods.

Maybe you could have a "most helpful suggestion poster in the help thread for Giveaway".......yeah....it could be an Angel.....no, an Adrenaline Angel.....and air tank.....and....
nevermind. You get the idea. Making them prizes instead of raffles will encourage everyone to behave themselves and post more.

Some of the prizes will be for the forums, but many will be for the reviews on the main site. It will not be for the person who submits the most reviews, it will be for the highest "ranked" reviewers (something that is going to be introduced with user accounts for reviews.)
