Since BKO's are mechanically not able to shoot higher than 18-19 BPS, is there any part that anyone can buy to push up the mechanical BPS max? is it just the solenoid, or would it be some kind of spring?

Getting a new board will not higher your mechanical cap it will only make you achieve it easier. The 4 way mod is suppose to be coming out sometime, and that is the only way to raise your mechanical cap

its the noid and the spring-return ram. I kinda have doubts about the 4-way for them because then people would just buy Ko's and put 4-ways in them

so if I could find a new noid and spring return kit thingy, then get a chaos board, it will shoot faster?

isnt it visi versa?

No you cannot just take a 4 way solenoid out of a bushy and put it into the BKO. If it was that easy, it would have been done by now.

Actually you can take a noid out of a bushy and put it in a KO but it would require some machine work.

You would first have to cut a oring in the front of the ram housing and them install two hose barbs in the ram housing.
Next you would need to install three hose barbs or a custom manifold of some kind on the bushy noid.
After this you connect the barbs with some gas line and presto you now have a B2K.

The 4 way kit is suppose to come out later this year but it isnt going to be cheap. The cost of a BKO plus the 4 way kit will push the price of the KO higher than the B2K.

Now you can do some things to your BKO that will help it cycle quicker and raise the mechanical cap on it. I have tested BKO's to 20 BPS with no problems using a Chaos on Full Auto. There were very few that werent able to run at this speed. The biggest problem that I found is the ram assembly being a little to tight and in turn the recocking action would slow down the marker. You can polish the inside of the ram housing and cure this problem or you can build some custom springs from the ram. I have done both and found that the polishing was easier and cheaper to do.

If you want to build a custom spring that will increase the speed of the marker simply use the same gauge wire ( I believe it is #18 but cant recall this for sure) and add two more coils to the spring. You have to make the spring the same length as the stock spring or your marker wont cycle up to speed.

By increasing the coils on the spring you will see the LPR run at a slightly higher pressure than with the stock spring so there are some trade off.

Have fun and dont tear anything up.
