Let it be known i did do a Ultimate sticky look through and read some of the fenix thread, and i didn't find what i wanted....so i turn to you guys....

Im planning on starting a team next season, and i would like a better gun to play with, now i love my spyder and i have invested time and allot of money into it and here is what it is now....

~Victor body
~ANS Feed Neck
~Black sight rail
~Black cp 1 piece barrel .689
~Black backed Supa fly delren bolt
~Dark Horizon Ti hammer
~Maddman rocket valve
~Assault block (w/ gauge)
~Bob Long Torpedo Regulator
~Physco drop
~ Esp frame with 50 gram switch
~T-board with eyes
~Sweet spot trigger
~Dye Generation 3 grips
~eggy 2 with z
~N2

How would that marker be compared to a 2003 or 2004 bko with

Eggy 2 with z board
N2
CP Hp Regulator
Vapor Works FMD Autococker LPR Adapter
Vapor works valve
Shocktech Supa fly
Clamping feed neck
Vapor works Board
Barrel Cp 1 piece
Vapor works Volumizer
Cp drop
dye gen 3’s

All would not be purchased at once, over the season i would upgrade in coordination of my lowly income...

What aspects would be different, i haven't shoot a bko before, no one in this area has one.

Is it even worth Buying the bko? will it shoot that much differently?

i understand i will most likely get a biased answer, but i would like to hear from owners of both upgraded spyders and bko's.

Hope you guys can point me in the right derection here

the bko will be a lot more compact and will eigh a lot less. and all of the upgrades for bkos/bushmasters are top of the line and arent really expensive either.

no its not worth $700, but i think that sounds really expensive. you can get a used bushy package with tons of ups for $700 (gotta love ebay)

Your Spyder seems great. Why the rush to get a new gun; is there anything wrong with it?

jeez, aside from "the hornet" I dont think I've ever seen such an upgraded spyder. go out and shoot your spyder, and pay attention to everything. if its too inacurate, too inconsistant, too slow etc... seems you've got a pretty good gat in your hands. you could also enter a tourny and see how it does you.

you'll see a big difference. The BKO will be lighter, faster, less kick (you do have some nice parts on that spyder tho). But you will see a ton of difference between the up'd spyder and the BKO.

Just because all those BKO upgrades exist, doesnt mean you have to buy ALL of them. You've picked out a VERY nice final setup for your BKO, but I'm not sure you're gonna need all that stuff. Also, if you get an 04 BKO, you wont be able to use the Volumizer. And you wont need the Super Fly. BKO's dont need a new bolt unless you have blowback (you probly wont) and there are much better bolts to buy than the Super Fly (like the Vapor and Bonebrake).

I think a BKO would be a good choice for you, but dont assume that you will need to buy ALL those upgrades. Buy the BKO and then see what you would like to upgrade. Probly the barrel, inline, and valve would be the first things. But even stock, it will be a step up from the Spyder.

You have a good marker it sounds like and you could have a better marker with the upgrade to the BKO.

The BKO will cycle quicker than your Spyder because it isnt limited by the software like you ESP frame is right now.

My recommendations for upgrades for a 04KO since I dont think you will find a 03 unless it is used.

04 KO $300
MAC Ram conversion $55ish (still in prototype stage price not firm yet)
Chaos Board $74.95
Vapor Valve $34.95
CP Hpr $65
Vapor Hoseless FMD $89
CP barrel $30
Vapor bolt, if needed. $25

total $673.90

Some of the things you listed above will not work with the upgrades you have listed. For example:
The 04 KO will not accepted a Rock LPR and a volumizer unless you replace the ASA Block. This would improve the efficency of the marker but it will also set you back another $75 or so.

Personally if you are looking at going this far into a KO I would recommend you look into a B2K. It will be a couple bucks more but will be twice the marker in the long run.

B2K $435
Vapor Valve $35
CP Hpr $65
Chaos Board $75
Hoseless FMD Rock $89
Vapor bolt if needed $25

total $724

Now as far as a Timmy goes. You can purchase a used Timmy for this price but you will have just that, a used Timmy. There is nothing wrong with this provided you get a marker that has been taken care of and you dont have to repair the marker just to start playing. With the B2K you will have a brand new marker that you can upgrade as time and money permit and have all the preformance that you would have in the Timmy.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Guys, I think what ill do is keep this marker for a while and if i get a job ill save up for a better marker, i have shot a matrix b4 and i liked it (non dm4) so i think what i will do is get myself a job save my money, squeez all the performance and get more skill useing my spyder, then i will part some of it off and pick up a better marker if i find it cant keep up in some tournys. I havent played a game with my T-board yet, but it will speed me up, The whole reason was i was playing sum rec ball and a Kid shooting a seksy angel was out gunnin me by along shot, and he was fairly skilled too, i got owned a couple times, but i got him back (i play 3 Vs 3). What do you guys think of a used speed or ir3 instead?

Personally, I wouldn't get a used gun unless you have tried it out and made sure it was in good condition. I bought my b2k used and it turned out that the LPR needed to be rebuilt, and it needed a new microswitch. Now that I've got everything fixed I'm very happy with my gun, but looking back if I knew that problems would have occured I wouldn't have bought it.

I think you should save up a bit more and get a new B2k4 w/ PDS.

IMHO you are better off buying a used marker locally since you can usually try it out before you buy it. This will give you a much better idea about how the marker will preform and not to mention you will know if you like how the marker feels in your hands.

As far as the $425 goes for a used Angel I think I personally would go with a B2K for $430. This is just my personal opinion. Again you are comparing a used marker and a new marker.

I prefer to see people purchase a new marker over a used marker for two basic reasons.

1) You have a new marker with a warranty from the manufacturer
2) A new marker is far less likely to have problems right from the start.

If you are being out gunned dont go out and purchase a marker a based on the fact that the person that out gunning you is using a marker from XYZ company. Make your decision based on the preformance, reliability and room to grow with you as you grow in the sport.

Angel in one persons hand maybe not better than a Spyder in another persons hands. The marker doesnt marker the play it simply helps them play the game.

freestyle
Seriously, the freestyle is one of the top guns. I think there are 4 main things when looking at a good gun. 1. weight -- Freestyle is 1.8 lbs, that is very light seeing as an alias is 1.3 lbs. 2. speed -- The freestyle has one of the highest CPS on the market. 3. Kick -- the freestyle has no kick. I had excellents shot pattern shooting a style. 4. Efficency -- the efficency is not the best on freestyles but that is improving,

The freestyle is better then a matrix in my opinion, and you should not over look it while looking into a high end gun.
