I posted this topic on the Tippmann forum and im gonna post it here as well to get more responce to this idea of mine....

ok this is probably the dumbist idea ever but here goes...do u think that you could place a small cylinder magnet in the hole were the responce trigger thing goes with the negative side faceing out, then somehow put another small magnet (with the negative side faceing the negative side of the other magnet) on the piece of the trigger that touches the r/t cylinder. wouldent this reset the trigger a little quicker than normal? do u think this could even work? I would love to see someone do this to their gun..what do u think???

I had the same idea. I think it would work and I am hoping to try it out soon, however it will also make the trigger hard to pull back so maybe you could completely remove the trigger spring altogether...I don't know, I'll see if I can find some small magnets but I don't know if I want to epoxy something onto my gun (I think something strong will be needed to hold those magnets on.

it would make the trigger pull heavyer and it would have the same return force as pull force so no it wouldnt work with an rt effect

Good point...you could just add a stronger spring and it would have the same effect.

well, dident airgun designs do this thing on their RT mags or is the same kinda thing as the tippmanns?

There is no magnet in the RT. It uses gas.

I'd like to see how it goes for you, I don't know it the size magnet that would fit into there would provide a noticable difference.

Also, remember magnetism will be conducted through the steel parts of the marker. So you might end up fighting the magnets instead of being aided by them.

Emags are actuated by magnets, not RT's
