Heh, I have a couple of newbie questions, could you guys answer them? OK,
What's a unimount? Is it like an ASA dealy without a drop?
What's the difference between like a hybrid blowback and a true elelctro? Is it just that they don't have blowback, making it kick less and feed faster?
And what's xball? Is it just air ball with a big X?
Thanks.

First off. Yes. A unimount pretty much lets the tank attach directly to the bottom of the grip taking the place of a drop forward. I personally think unimounts are the most comfortable to play with.
Second, yes you are partially correct. A high end blowback is essentially a blowback with an electronic grip frame. The difference is that the trigger on a blowback is still mechanical, you pull the trigger releases the mechanism and it fires. True electros don't trip any mechanical mechanism when you pull the trigger, it just sends an electrical signal to the gun. True electros will have less kick and fire faster. Feeding fast however depends on the hopper.
Last, X-ball is pretty much airball except there are a bunch of different rules. The game time is divided into halves and after half of the time the teams switch ends, trying to make it more like other sports. NXL teams play multiple games against eachother until the time is up. There are a few other rules but I don't know them all. There is a 15bps limit on the markers, and ramping boards are allowed.

Usually when you get up into D1 and Professional the 15bps rule is more or less thrown out the window. The reffs let them run their guns as fast as they can. My friends told me about it when they got back from chiago this year.

There is a 15 BPS limit in X-ball. The thing with the triggers is that the marker can fire as many shots per pull as you want, but once you stop pulling the trigger, the marker must stop shooting.
