A lot of places are having you use these over barrel plugs now. We where wondering is if you had a deal that still plug the barrel but it also cover the ports on the out side of the marker if it be in this class.
Reason is we came up with a set of plans to make these things and they work and look pretty cool. I just wondering if I should send a pic to the NPPL or something to see if there legal or something.
I just hate what the looks of the barrel condom.

I think they'd be fine if you had some sort of strap on it to keep you from shooting it off.

I don't know what the deal is, but our field has stopped using barrel plugs. They say a change in their insurance now requires them to use barrel condoms. Anyone know what's going on with that?

Barrel condoms are safer, that's why they have them, my local field had some pretty cheap barrel plugs and the kept falling out. Also, with a barrel condom, if you accidentaly fire, the condom won't fly into the air, that too has happended to me. I think they look cool.

Barrel Condoms (or socks if your talking to your mum :)) are a lot safer than barrel plugs cos they dont just stop one ball.
Barrel plugs, you shoot accidentally it will stop the first ball, but as you all know the plug flies out as well. Barrel Condoms stop the 2nd, 3rd and 4th, balls all balls infact, that could be shot out.

Suppose they would if you can get the cover over the barrel end.

Ciaran Mooney, man a barrel plug doesn't stop just the first shot, I have one made by ACI, and I accidentaly fired with it in, and it didn't move even a little bit.

Well its a common problem - many people's barrel plugs only stop one shot.

You know what would be cool? a barrel plug/condom with a battleswab on the end of it. so when you insert it the swab goes down the barrel, but the end still tightens on the barrel. Like a two in one! Squeege and barrel plug in one! Im just kinda bored.

The NPPL is now goin to begin requiring barrel condoms because they r much safer. one of the workers told me that at my local pro shop. i would suggest using those.

If you don't like the looks could you just tie something to the plug to keep it from flying out?
I was telling some girls about paintball and they broke out laughing every single time I said barrel condom and autococker :D

In most insurances its not a law for everyone to have barrel condoms rather than plugs, mainly due to electro guns (yes they have finnaly ruined it for all of us) because if they are set on full auto and they accidently pull the trigger, the plug will fall out on the first shot and the others will go into the air (oopsie)
but for some reason there is a place near me (creek would know it as Action paintball) that still requires plugs, in fact they wont let you use condoms... bizzare, they are also strict on everything, dont really like it there

ya i accidentally fired my gun without knowing (i dont know how i didnt hear/feel it) and when i got home to clean my gun i found paint and shells inside of it, but that is much better IMO than when my dad shot his gun and the barrel plug shot out. i think that barrel plugs are (if they are loose) are more dangerous than not having one, i would rather be shot by a paintball than a big peice of plastic.

Depends where you are shot isnt it? I would rather be hit in the eye by the plug in the safe area because i wont be wearing my mask and so theres a chance that it will hit my eyes or ear. A plug is too big to actually hit the eye - hey it might blind me but a paintball would mush my brains!
