I want a really compact system, so i'm going to get a 45/45 pure energy most likely. I should get like 800 shots off of that, right?

well the general rule is that 4500psi = 15 shots per ci, therefore:

45 * 15 = 675

that rule is normally a little low, so i would expect that you could get around 800 out of a 45/45

That rule is pretty dumb, it has no proof, i just want to know fromt the gun owners, not some theory some net nerd made up.

if you give it a full fill that should be about right.
i think that rule is used more generally with blowbacks and lower performing, less air efficent markers.

I have the agd flatline 48 3k psi tank...I get about 600 shots off it. I admit, its still a gimp *** tank, but if you have your own scuba tank its not a problem.
