Have your goggles ever come off during a game?

Well.... have they? If they did, what did you do?

Ok, the other week I was playin and did a superman dive into the bunker and my goggles hit the ground and came off. I crawled up into a ball with my head down then the ref came over and put the sheild over me, I thought I was gonna get bunkered and shot in the eye.

One time this old guy jumped over the snake to try and bunker me, and his mask flew off while he was in the air. I shot him three times in the shoulder, whilst I remained unscathed. I thought I shot his eye out, and almost poopied my pants. Oh, yeah, I won the game too. Winning a two on one <3

He came over, put his shield in front of me as i put them back on.

his mask got pulled down somehow but he kept playing the game with his mask halfway off his face and got shot right under his eye.

The Profiler may dissapoint you. Around here, fogging is a serious issue for many Profiler owners. (including myself)
I haven't yet had my goggles fall off, but know of some people who's masks have "malfunctioned" or fallen off. In one instance someone dove into a bunker and the person's mask fell off. In another, a hit went under the mask and popped it off.

I was playing a woods game and someone popped up in front of me and I shot at him and started backpedling and tripped over something and fall backwards and my mask flew off behind me. I just put my arm over my face and got the mask back on quickly.

This one time a year ago i was playing woods ball with my friends. I was sprinting up to this log and dove over it only to find that there was like a 3 foot drop after it. :eek: I fell and chipped part of bone on my elbow and messed up my ulner nerve in my arm. My mask totally flew off so i just burried my head and yelled for the person shooting at me to stop.

half way once i was on the ground playing woodsball and my mask (shield) to a hit right in the middle of the lens it popped up still covering my eyes (the mouth piece part was all the way up to my eyes) but i was scared. My teammate layed in front of me well i fixed it he got shot 6 times. That's what teammates are for.

Mine came off last saturday. I just got my proflex the day before and I had never played with it. I think it was the first of second game of the day. Right off the break the it started to slide down around my neck. I held it in place until I got to my bunker then put it back on and tightened it. It was the only time in my entire paintball playing days when I have ever been scared.

But at a very small, overcrowded speedball field a guy got hit in the shoulder, said "Crap" and then proceeded to remove his goggles and stand there. Everyone within 20 yards of him stopped and started screaming at him and the ref tackled him, made him put his gogs back on and sat him out for a few rounds. And this was a 30+ year old guy who couldn't follow rules.

My sister, her friend and I were at the field playing in the woods during the hot part of the day.
She yells left and her friend goggs a guy on our team, so the guy walks back and says "where did you hit me" they point to his goggs saying sorry, the moron takes off his goggles and looks at the hit, then takes off his glasses and cleans off the fog in the middle of the game with paint flying everywhere, im yelling at him from 50 feet away to put his goggles, then the ref came down yelling at him.

once when i was the last person in. every1 was out bedsides me and i was bunked behind 4 barrels. we all got bunkered behind them and got shot between the cracks.
when some of us ran to a nearby bunker that was 20-30ft away and got shot some how.
i thought it was safe to run to that bunker.
when i came out this guy was in these upright tires just 10ft confront of the barrels ware i had been. i didn't even no there was some1 that close to ware i had been because i was focused on staying in a position that was gonna give some1 a chance to shoot me between the space of the barrels.
so
he shoots me in the mask and makes it pop up, and it freaked me out so much, i splined around holding my face and shot him 3 times. i guess my reaction time was quick cause i was spinning when i saw something move out of the corner of my eye, but was too late.

and nope my mask has never come off, and i hope it never does. but we used to do something stupid when i first started, playing outlaw ball, we only had 2 masks between the 4 of us, so we would sit up in a tree with no mask and watch, and may of times shots went over our heads,and hit the tree we were sitting in, i have no idea what in the hell we were thinking....

I was watching, right near him. He ran up and dove and his mask flew off. The ref ran in front of him to frantically try to help him get it back on. He managed to get it back on and continued to play. I'm pretty sure it was the Empire field.

Mask came off once in '96. Made a run for a bunker and a stray branch snaged the strap on my ol' Scott mask. Ref was right there and helped pull me out of the game.

i was playing speedball.. it was a 3 on 3 nd my team mates got out so it was me vs 3 people.. i hit 1 guy on the head.. then i shot the next guy on the shoulder 3 times.. then while i was running to get cover, my mask just slips off, i also slipped off on the paint on the floor, i ran back up and and got cover, then i saw the guy, so i ran towards him and my mask fell off again, so i just RAN REAL FAST and shot im 5 times before he can do anything about it... :crazy:

I got to speak up here. You are a freakin moron. Your the kind of player that gets shot in the eye then wanst to sue everything in sight. It is a big deal. Mask are there for your safety, and your an idiot to think otherwise. You would be screaming and crying if you were shot in the eye so don't be an as$****. People have gone blind from this kind of stupid crap. Companies have been sued and paintball has another bad sterotype as being dangerous becuase your stupid arse can't keep your mask on.

You seriuosly need to learn safety tips. You do not keep laying if your mask falls off. You call a ref and get that crap back on before you get injured.

And yeah something-or-other-Tony playing without a mask only increases chances for injury. It gives the sport a bad reputation too. If someone got hit in the eye OR ear...because you can't protect them both... they could possibly lose sight/hearing. okay, apparently this is all being misinterpurated... I am not saying I play all the time with no mask. My mask has only came off two times, and I continued to play, seeing as how both times it was only 2 on 1 left (me having the partner). And, I was not saying its not a big deal to get hit in the eye, I am saying it is not SUCH a big deal that you have to go and open a thread about something that happens to a lot of people...

and for the record, i am not gonna go sueing anyone over a paintball injury bro...

Ya know, I think we got a bit off topic. So, to get back on.....Yes, my goggles have come off before....I slid into a bunker on a hyper/woods field and didn't exactly stop when I got to it. I just buried my face in the bunker, put the mask back on and tightened the strap.

Oh, and when I was a newb and played all the time in pball palace in Eugene, my lenses would fog ALL of the time. I had a Brass Eagle mask ("280 degree vision") :laugh: I don't think they even make 'em anymore. Anyway, I'd run up into one of the back corners of the towers to wipe the inside of the lense real quick. Then I kinda realized how smart I'd feel if I came off of the field with my eye running down my shirt and stopped.
