Most of us have heard of it and seen.

I'm assuming it's like the quality of the company's other guns unfortunately. We'll see once Andrew adds it to the product reviews.

And just because a gun is $35 doesn't mean it sucks. I can buy a used PGP for $35 and it's an awesome gun.

Whoops I meant to edit.

Uhhhhhhhh, you can change the barrel. And it is not just plastic, it is made of Polymer, an extra strong plastic/composite that is used in militarty firearms and paintball markers alike.

They do look pretty decent, its like about 50 bucks american for the marker, pods, mask, squeegee, plug, hopper and a flag or something. I am thinkin of pickin up one of them within the next few months or so....

Actually, upon further research I have found a dark Blue version of this marker, called "The Raider" on www.walmart.com. It seems to come with everything the "Striker" has but on top of it a electric sight (not sure what kind). I wonder if they are the same but different colours, or different markers just the same shroud/cover.

Ya I guess so. But when I am not paintballing, I am fiddling with my marker or making something for paintballing. Like last week I made a Camo Vest. It sucks, but I need to fix it up. Or I am on PBR! :D :D

"Uhhhhhhhh, you can change the barrel. And it is not just plastic, it is made of Polymer, an extra strong plastic/composite that is used in militarty firearms and paintball markers alike."

I assume the gun is Spyder threaded. I'm not trying to flame this, just making a point...everyone always is quick to point out, "Oh wow, polymer used in Glocks and G36s and stuff!" Feel the plastic (avoiding arguments about terminology, I'm calling it plastic) on a Brass Eagle Maurauder or Talon or Blade. That material is NOT used in Firearms. There is a major difference between usage of industry grade plastics to save money in gun production as opposed to high grade polymers used in precision firearms. There really is little comparison.

Pistolero2112

Ok, lets see. Other Brass Eagle markers are made of the plastic you find in childrens' toys. The plastic found in the Striker and lots of markers (can think of a few) are Polymer. A friend of mine goes hunting with his father all of the time, and both of their rifles are made with some Polymer parts. Just as you said about the differences in high grade polymer and industrial grade polymer, yes, their is a difference, but not that much. You see, with the high grade polymer, it is only that strong in a thick amount, say, in a trigger frame. The industrial grade polymer is much weaker in large amounts. But in small amounts, as it is in the body of the Striker, it is just a bit weaker if not that equal. I can compare this with Cyanide and Arsenic. Cyanide is a more effecient killer, yet in small amounts, neither will have a big effect on your body. But, in larger amounts, say a tablet, the Cyanide will kill you much quicker. The same with Smoking and Cocaine, taking 1 puff of a Cigarette isn't really going to do anything, as does a very miniscule amount of Cocaine, but in larger amount, the Cocaine will have a more negative effect. Do you see what I am getting at?

Let's not argue. It looks to be fairly decent for an intro or back-up marker and something just to play with, nothing more.

THANK YOU! I have been trying to say that since the beginning of the thread.

Eh, I still say it's an abysmal way to introduce someone to the sport with the advent of cheaper and cheaper electro-hybrid blowbacks going for as cheap as 50 USD. But I agree it'd be a fun tinker toy for those with a technical mind.

I'm NOT trying to bash BE or anything but, a Victor would be the best to start with... You can upgrade later down the road if you like it and like paintball. The striker is just meh. Its just a gun BE made to look appealing to a noob, thats all.
The Triad and Orion kits are good to get someone started, but not a striker. My cousin got one and in the same day it cracked because he slid and hit arm just twisted when his elbow hit the ground.

I think the guy said he just wants it a a back up. I think it's and okay guy seen one at target but I don't know if I would buy it. For the price it a good deal all the extra stuff you get you could use as backup to your good stuff.

If you're going to bash BE, at least do it in a comprehensible post.

Not entirely true. The Raptors had an inherent problem with the striker/bolt connecting pin but that has been fixed. Other than that I don't know of too many other problems with Brass Eagle markers that couldn't be fixed for a few bucks.

I am only 14. I am gonna wait till I get a job to start getting all of my markers because my mom thinks that spending all my christmas and birthday money on paintball is a waste.
