the back player on our team has a tippy 98...............they are great long distance guns..........so good for the back cause he is the farthest one from the opposition;)

They're decent, put a flatline and a decent trigger on it and you're set.

they are ok.the only problem with a flatline is it is so big and you must have the gun perfectly straight, and if the gun is tilted it will fly ethier way up in the air or right in the gun cuz of the arch when shot.this causes a huge problem on speedball fields.get a all american instead and good trigger as zephyer said.

One of our back players uses a 98 with a flatline. He also has a response trigger that is dialed in. He does an awesome job as the back player with this marker. With the flatline he says that the powder coated ball work better.

Flatlines cause the ball to lose speed to the point to where they will not break on target. If you shot at me from across a good sized speedball feild i could catch the balls they are going so slow. They also are expensive, and break a lot of balls. Don't get a Flatline, for a $100 you could get a really good Dye or All American barrel or even a used Freak!

for tourneys i would not sugeest a flatline
the close range sucks and most tournys are close range
any gun will be a good back gun, its the player communicating, smart and stuff like that
remember all guns shoot the same distance when shooting the same fps

no because back spin adds to distance

yea backspin does add distnace, the flatline is the exception to the rule
But in tournamets you do not need distance any gun shooting 280fps is plenty far for the common tourny
the flatline shoots good at like 265 270 and you haveto used paintballs that dont have a bunch of oily residue and a back player doesnt get most of the kills anyway just keeps em in their bunkers if the paint gets far enough to do that then the job is done
i personally dont use it in sup air or anything like that but it could be done and be quite useful

But the back player also shoots a lot, a flatline does not do good when you throw a lot of paint, it messes up some how. That's my experience anywho. But as long as all ou want is distance it don't matter you'll keep their heads down if you can shoot further than they can.
