View Full Version : quiet barrel, loud gun, help!!
I got a J&J ceramic barrel for my shutter and now there is no noise except for the stupid bolt. I haven't done anything with it yet but I'm thinking about doing something to it to make it less noisy. Do you guys have any suggestions or would a new bolt be the only way to go? My gun almost sounds like a triangle telling everyone it's time to eat, it doesn't ring that long but it's almost as loud. thanks

Lowering your pressure should help. I dont know much about spyders but you might want to see if you can put some kind of padding where the hammer hits.

You could upgrade the bolt to a venturi bolt (this will help the noise some) but because the shutter has the vents in the back, it is just going to be loud anyway, you could also try greasing your bolt better.
I figured it out. It's not the bolt. It's not the striker. It's not the o-ring where the striker is. It is the lever thing that my trigger moves so that the striker can go forward. Easy easy fix.
