Could anyone help me decide on a decent gun to get. I have played before with a few types of guns but I do not own one. Mostly I play with my friends 98 customs. I'm an admirer though of my friends spyder with a boo-yah and 9v revvy. Since most of the people in my area own 98's thats all they tell me to get. I'm intrested in something under 400 bucks that is electric or rugged semi. Options that I have encountered are spyder flash and em1, pgi mayhem, autococker 01, auto mag (w/nothing on it). I want something that has range, quickness in firing, with a minimal amount of breakage in the balls. (wouln't that be nice). Also I want to keep upgradability in mind. Right now I play in the woods but i someday hope to play some real speed ball. I keep seeing pictures of people who have beefy guns and I someday want something like they have. what gun that I listed or one that you know of that would be good and has the upgradability options, price and fit my specs?

I am in the same situation as you. The Flash looks like a nice marker. Same as my Xtra with an Electronic grip frame. It will also take all Spyder parts and will be a very nice gun if upgraded properly. Also the EM-1 might be a good choice but you have to get nitro for that. Same with the mag, they are not good on CO2. I don't know about the PGI Mayhem. The autococker is a great gun but can be a maintenance nightmare if not taken care of. Do you need a mask, tank, and everything? If not then check out the Smart Parts Impulse. You can find then for under $400 at some sites.

think: "mag" :D spyder's not bad. buy an aa barrel, hoses, and a va+x-chamber, and you can run a 20 0z anti-siphon tank.

If your looking in the 400 dollar range, you should look into the smart parts impulse. Its about 400 dollars online, and has quite a bit of upgrades available. Its an electro, so you'll need a revy.
It runs on very low pressure (180-250), so you'll have very low ball breakage, and since it has the maxflow reg, you can run it on CO2 (just need anti-siphon and on-off). PM me if you have any questions about the impulse.

grrr... check this baby out http://www.actionvillage.com/010-1012-1.html i love it. me want. only 300 buckeroos too. it even comes with another barrel. spend the extra 400 on nitro if you feel, or keep it for something else.
