if im not going lp, but have a glad reg, do i still use that to adjust the velocity?
i bougtht a glad reg cuz i have a preset tank and thought thats what i needed it for.
i also have a thore, but im not currently using it cuz everyone says a glad is better.

well i dunno fo sure about staying HP with the glad. Im pretty sure you would use a gas thru grip. But why not do the LP mod? you don't really loose anything. Maybe a few shots but its easier on the gun.

I am thinking that I will also buy a Bob Long intimidator. If I do not do the LP mod, would it be alright to use the gun with my PE 68/4500 pre-set at 850? What are the benifits of doing the LP mod?

Easier on the gun internals, less recoil, lower sounding(this can be even further reduced with a delrin bolt). But you can always use a HP setup and see how you like it and then go LP. Mike from County does an HP setup, and he has not complained nor have anyone who have done the LP mod.

The gladiator no longer adjusts velocity. You should have the glad putting almost it's maximum output (500 psi) into a non LP modded gun. As for running 750 psi straight into a non LP modded intimidator, it's a bad idea to do this. Not only is it bad for the internals, but the HP and LP regs don't handle that much pressure and you're gonna get really bad inconsistencies

the only reason i dont go to lp honestly is cuz im afraid to mess with my timmy (im pretty new to this). but i would if i thought i could. i read all the manuals but once i get the courage to mess with it, i realize i spent 600 bucks on it and get scared ill "F" it up.
one day i might do it but right now on running on lp. so my question is:
if i running on hp, according to the timmy manual (i got from country paintball) it says keep the hp reg between 200-300 psi and the lp reg between 50-100 psi. so if i have my timmy at these settings, and my gladiator at its max output (500 psi), 1) does this seem like the correct settings? 2) am i using my hp regulator or my gladiator to adjust velocity?? 3) and in the long run will these settings hurt my timmy? thanks!!!
im currenty have a 88ci/4500psi PMI High Pressure Bottle.

If you want a preset tank without an inline reg, go with the Crossfire 68/4500 LP. It has an output of 450psi. It's also referred to as "blue" where "red" is the 800psi output.
That will let you run straight from the tank into your gun without stressing the gun's internals. Of course, if you eventually do the LP mod to your gun, you'll need an inline reg anyway.

yeah i plan on gettin that same low pressure tank (170 @ www.paintballgear.com) so i dont have to get a reg. right away cuz im short on money. But i will get a reg as soon as i can cuz i want to run the LP mod eventually. Do you knwo how many shots i can expect out of the crossfire 68/4500 LP tank with the lp mod running? Thanks alot
