Anybody know where I can buy Teflon tape? Can I just run down to my local Home Depot and pick sme up, or do I need to order from some place online?

Why do you wanna use that nasty stuff for bro? It often times can cause more problems than it's worth. Get yourself some loctite 271 for dressing up threads. It won't fragment and plug up air passages.

The guys at my local pro shop say use Teflon tape. But where can I get this Locite 271?

You should be able to get it at any local hardware. It comes in a little bottle (like eye drops) and the 271 is a red liquid. The 271 is pretty tough stuff. There are a couple of other colors too. The blue is 241 it's not as strong. And the green (i can't remember the number) is like steel. The red is just right for air lines. Just put a few drops on the threads, I like to turn the piece I'm working on so the loctite runs all the way around the threads. Then just thread it in and let it sit. The loctite should set-up tight within a day, and then the only way to get it loose again is with some heat (a hair dryer works good) a wrench, and some muscles!

Ok, so it's more like glue than tape. Sounds simple enough. Thanks. ;)

I was having problems with my gun, so I used thread tape and loctite, that works REALLY well.
