What does it mean when your gun is low pressure?

It uses less pressure to fire the ball. Rather than maybe 700 pounds per square inch, it may use between 500 to 100 pounds per square inch. Because the pressure on the ball is lower, to get the same speed, you would ahve to apply a force for a longer period of time. Hence, your valve is open, releasing gas for a longer period of time. The benefits of low pressure, are less ball breaks in the barrel, a quieter gun, and less recoil during firing

i dissaggree about the recoil part. my shocker runs on 160-200 psi and it has quite a lot of recoil, that is one bad thing i can't figgure out.

Well, lower pressure will lessen the recoil on a gun that was running higher pressure if it involves a hammer that strikes a valve to open it. Because the hammer and bolt are connected, think of it this way

A hammer will need to hit the valve with alot more force, if the gun is at a higher pressure, therefore the bolt and hammer will move back and forth with alot of pressure, sicne the hammer and bolt both have weight, you ahve weight inside your gun moving back and forth with alot of force. lessen the force, you lessen the recoil. I've noticed a significant drop in recoil since going lower pressre on my timmy, and you'd probably get similar results witha ny other gun. Although, since I dont beleive the shocker has a hammer, that probably wouldnt be a factor
