Just Got My Timmy, But . . . .

Hey, i just got my timmy (pics soon). And its gorgeous, shot it a couple times and i love it.

Problem is I am having trouble setting the modes. Tourney Lock is disengaged, and even when i set it on different modes with the dip switches it will still turn back to semi-auto. And it wont even change settings with the membrane buttons.

BTW, i dont have any air, i am just doing this with a battery in the gun.

Can someone help me out?

BTW even when i set my dip switches, it will initially display what i set it to on the dip switches, but when i pull the trigger it goes to semi-auto, 12bps.

Turn the gun off, turn it back on. Turn the eyes off, then change the mode. What's happening is that your bolt is blocking your eyes and it senses a malfunction and defaults to 12 balls per second, semi

dont feel bad. I asked twitch the same question when I first got my gun and he told me the same thing. ehehe. what dwell setting do you use? im just wondering.

its set at 6ms right now, what setting should i use?

where do i check to see which wires i have?

i read the timmy basics over at petty pb and i dont see it listed there.

also what are the sizes of all the allen wreches i need? i already know i need a 1/16" for the grip panels, but what size for the trigger adjustment screws, regulator adjustments, etc.

ok, now i got all the sizes of the allen wrenches, but i cant get the gauge ports off of either side, the screw holding them in is pretty tight, is it loc-tited in there?

i want to thank mike for hooking me up with the sweet timmy. i put the county sticker on my tank (dont have my revvy yet, and didnt want to put it on the timmy :P ).

Looks Great Prok! Thanks for putting the stickers on there.

Try gassing up the gun and running through the modes with paint. That will give you a much better understanding and reassurance of the modes and such. Test firing it without air and/or paint causes it to change modes and gets confusing.

Hey ProkChop,

The problem with your gun is your bolt is covering the eyes, when you pull the trigger it'll push it back to semi mode. Once you pull the bolt back it won't do that anymore, but that's just to say if your pulling the trigger without air going through it....
