Ok, here is the deal. I have a friend with a M98 and an Armson Stealth barrel. Would a SL-68 with a good barrel out shoot him? what barrel?

By outshoot do you mean rate of fire or accuracy. If you mean rate of fire, sorry to break the news to you but an SL-68 is a pump marker while the m98 is a semi-automatic marker. If you mean in accuracy, it all depends.

I mean accuracy. I know pump fires slow.

they say pumps are more accurate than low end semis because of the closed bolt design, but i dont know if thats proven or just a theory.

Your best bet is the M98. If you want a pump, get a Phantom, or else I don't think its worth it. The SL-II leaves much to be desired, including upgrades. Go M98, then get things to help your position (barrell first, figure out which one by the immense discussion), or get the Phantom.

Much agreed on the phantom part. They are very sweet pump markers and I don't care what anyone says...they are more accurate the most semi's. But if you want the best all around marker go for the m98.

I'm a sniper, very good, can't afford flatline, and don't need much cover fire from my gun. How much is a Phantom(on the net)?

most i've seen are in the $200 range
if you want a cheap one get a used one

Here is a better question, will an M98 out snipe a ProCarb? or vis versa? I can't afford more than 160 for a gun cuz I want a nice barrel.

Thanks, but I have decided to go with a Pro/Carb I got for $120. Works great!
