View Full Version : a-5 rear velocity adjuster. need help adjusting

i'm a noob at paintball. i have an a-5 and i just bought a dop rva. hhow do make adjustments. do i unscrew thhe adjusting screw all the way out and thhen adjust the rear adjuster?

you can unscrew the aduster screw all the way out if you fell like putting it all the way back in. The screw is just there to hold the actual velocity adjuster in place so just unscrew it part of the way.

sorry i wasn't too clear. i meant should i unscrew the adjusting screw ON THE GUN ALL THE WAY OUT. then adjust the screw on the rear velocity adjuster or do ii do the opposite

no just adjust it as you want you don't need to take it al the way out and screw it back in.

okay let try it again we are
misunderstannding each other.
what ii meant was do i adjust the allen screw on the gun. the one from the factory. the one on the right side of the a5. do i turn that all the way out to let the most air in. and then turn it down to what pressure i want via the REAR VELOCITY ADJUSTER?

here your answer. if you are going to use a rear velocity adjuster on your a-5 start with the factory velocity screw about half way open but DO NOT remove it from the gun. if you do you will have all sorts of problems. even though they are cool i wouldnt recommend using the rear adjuster the gun just simply wont work at its best. most of the time you end up bending the spring guide pin. mak sure that when you are done you checki t on a chrono
